Hiruzen was in hell of a situation. What Shinobi would you think could come up with a better battle strategy than Hiruzen? I Myself think that any shinobi in this situation would be fukked. Locked in a chakra prison with the first second and orochimaru spells death, But with the right thinking i do believe the right ninja could have gotten out of the situation alive.

Who would you say would think of a good strategy to make it out of the situation alive, or even possibly kill Orochimaru?

Minato and Itachi would #fail. Minato and Itachi would be blind by total darkness technique, and water release would wash up all kunia (unless Oro used his wnd release).

Uzumaki Mito possibly, would be able to seal the edo without resorting to the death god seal, and would have more knowledge of the brothers than most other characters in the series, also tobi might be able to escape
