u made a gun, clearly a shot .-.
It's Sasuke 2.0 in the sense that Mitsuki would be getting lured to someone vile.
And it's not like Boruto and the rest wouldn't do anything to avoid that, flash forward
and you've got Boruto chasing after him to get him back.
That was also referring to Jirayai, Tsunade, Oro/ Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke/ Obito, Rin, Kakashi.
Nah I'm just tired of people calling other characters "2.0" just based on similar things that they do, when overall, it's totally unrelated.
That would imply that Mitsuki is being lured, and doing it for the same reason Sasuke did. Your forgetting that OP implied 'double agent' meaning Mitsuki would be knowing all of his actions prior to coming to Konoha, and after. Hence the word 'double'
Eh. The whole bringing back Sasuke thing just seemed stupid in the long run, plus, there's nothing special about Mitsuki that would tie into a grand scheme of things. No clan conflict (Itachi), no Village conflict (he wasn't even born there), and no tie in with the plot due to his bloodline like Sasuke had with the Uchiha Clan. I mean Konoha looking for Sasuke could only last for so long, which is why we had other villains like the Akatsuki for example.
That would also imply that Boruto would care to bring him back in the first place. What if, I don't know, a character betrays the Village and instead of chasing him, he decides to drop it and end his life? To be frank, there's nothing special about Boruto or Mitsuki's bond that you could even state he would care if he left. They are just acquaintances, no deep bond existing through brotherhood, or friends who understand each other on a spiritual level. Team mates who met during the Gaiden (It was stated that Mitsuki came to the Village not too long ago via Gaiden, so their relationship consists of probably a year you could argue). Naruto and Sasuke knew each other since they were children, and the same goes for Hashirama/Madara, and so forth.
Jiraiya gave up as well, by the way. The only person who actually stood in his beliefs for so long was Naruto, and the others before him whom were betrayed by their friends all had to ultimately kill them, or in Jiraiya's case, tried to.
It would be a horrible story either way. No one gives two bloody ****s about Mitsuki or Boruto's relationship, and it would be dreadful to read the same shit happening not once, not twice, not three times, but four times in a Manga.
If the writers are smart they would drop this whole 'team member has to be saved' nonsense and do something actually creative. Or for heaven's sake, that in some twisted boardroom this idea actually becomes real.
Let's hope they don't pull another 'Naruto and Sasuke' bond here. The amount of characters that were ruined in the process is innumerable, the amount of characters who were sidelined because of that bond is unreal.
Too many mistakes built on one failed story-line.
