My question is - What really makes someone "Evil"

And what made Orochimaru represent the word "Evil" in such a way that's demonic.

Orochimaru is the true villain in the Narutoverse.

Haha! That's a nice comparison. Thanks.

Eh Orochimaru has more hidden ideology than that!

Evil is a matter of perspective and everyone is a mix of good and bad characteristics. The best villains are the ones who have some genuinely good aspect that you can relate to.

This is a total matter of opinion, in fact I completely HATE the villains with some genuinely good aspect.

Orochimaru may have been warped by his parents' deaths but there is no doubt that he is pure evil. He has no good intentions for the world, he has no value for the lives of others, even the lives of those who have devoted themselves to him entirely are nothing but toys to him. The only time he's entertained is when there is fighting between the villages. The only thing on his mind is selfish gain and ultimate power. That's what makes him pure evil, on a level that Obito and Madara couldn't hope to achieve. He is truly twisted and there is no going back for him.

The way Naruto generally portrayed good and evil originally was the same as you see it in every other cartoon / anime / manga. Naruto is introduced as a hero and as a result his enemies, in this case Orochimaru, is played out as the evil character. As the series progresses and we start getting deeper into Shippuden, we begin to see a different side to the evil characters. But as saadpanda already stated, evil is merely perspective. What evil means to one person can be completely different to what it means to another. This same concept can be used in relation to beauty. You may think somebody is attractive, and because of this, think that makes them beautiful. Whereas, another person could find a persons personality kind and find that beautiful. A more basic answer to your question would be that Orochimaru was represented as evil because that's the way Kishimoto wanted you to see him.

What really makes someone "Evil"?

When the thing he does or did is cruel or harmful.

What made Orochimaru represent the word "Evil" in such a way that's demonic.

His ugly snake, it harmed my sense of art.

The person that conducts experiment from the LIVING person until that person DIED is pure EVIL. Trying to HYPNOTIZE everyone to adhere or obey to any rules was also an EVIL. Before i forgot, if u try to KILL everyone to justifies personal vendetta considered is not evil by many of here readers.

So, i agree Oro = Obito = Kabuto = Evil
