Orochimaru Parallels

Some people say Orochimaru is a character with no parallels to other characters. So lets discuss some we can find.

For example

Oro is one of the three sanin and it parallels over to Sasuke in Team 7.

Oro has a master/teacher relationship that is related to his current one with Sasuke.

That isn't a parallel, that's a character trait. What the OP stated is correct in his assertion as Orochimaru assumed a similar genius role in his Sannin team as Sasuke did in Team 7 as the household genius of his generation. ​

Thank you Katsura. I think another parallel would be Oro in parrarel to the Juubi. Both creatures born out of losing something precious to them.

I agree on the Sasuke part, but saying Orochimaru and the Juubi are parallels is taking it a bit too far. To me, character parallels means Naruto/Sasuke = Hashirama/Madara (which they are parallels to each other). Orochimaru can't be a parallel to the Juubi, because the Juubi has no character. Its a force of nature, thus cannot be paralleled to any inferior being. Outside of Sasuke, I really don't think Orochimaru has any parallels.

I can see why you would disagree but Orochimaru is an interesting character. He's one of the few we just don't understand and that's why I also think he parallels to the Juubi.Can you really look at Oro and see human?>

Well there is an obvious parallel to Sasuke in terms of both being genious prodigy's and losing their families and eventually leaving the village and later wanting to destroy it. Orochimaru is just doing it for a more selfish goal,or my bad WAS doing it because he wanted power(at least he said so,but Sasuke did mention that Orochimaru was lying when he said he wanted to destroy a village on a whim) and Sasuke wants/wanted revenge.

But honestly I think they both were perfect for each other as a student/teacher team because Sasuke was the perfect body Orochimaru wanted and nobody else couldn't understand Sasuke better than Orochimaru and trained him to be cold .
