I will be brief with this theory/prediction
As we all know Orochimaru is not exactly the squeakiest of clean.
In fact until now we STILL do not know his true plans/motives behind what he is currently doing.
Despite of Course:
Now since his revival, Orochimaru has taken the backseat for the majority of the time despite being revived and even getting his Jutsu back as well has a healthy boost of Hashirama DNA via Zetsu.
I have always had my suspicions that Oro was biding his time to make a move on Sasuke, however have a feeling now is the time he will make his move.
Kabuti mentioned that he was able to heal Sasuke as:
And of course as we all know:
I believe that Orochimaru after seeing what Kabuto is currently doing realises that now, Sasuke arguably the Uchiha filled with most potential, has the capability + conditions of awakening the rinnegan, and as a bonus is currently helpless
If you notice in the last chapter Kabuto immediately asked Orochimaru what he was doing there and Orochimaru responded with the same question
Im not sure about how you read this, but it felt like Kishi was building tension quickly between Kabuto and Oro
This really caught my eye.
Particularly as Juugo also still seems to be wary of Orochimaru and Suigetsu also mentioned the absorption of Sasuke, asking Kabuto if he was planning to do so ''as well'':
This seems like Kishi is opening the floor, for Oro to go for the ''Kill'' if you will in finally getting Sasuke's body.
However here is how i think it will go down, [and of course it is just my own opinion]
1. Oro will go for Sasuke's body
2. Kabuto will stand up to Oro and swear that he will die to protect him if he has too
3. Oro vs Kabuto
4. Quick battle, [not one panel, but quick]
5. Oro about to defeat Kabuto
6. Sasuke with Rinnegan 'ends' the fight
