I really wish we would have seen a fight where Orochimaru is seriously fighting. Every character had one in the series, besides him…

He should have helped fighting against Kaguya and revealed some of his secret forbidden jutsus, he researched all his life…

Nah he went all out and got very serious on a couple different occasions. I think the laughing and smirks were just part of his character and mind games.
