Hiruzen(whom was considered to be the God of Shinobi) stated that orochimaru was a prodigy that was only seen once in a generation, unlike Jiraiya and Tsunade.

Orochimaru studied and aquired to master all justu including Kinjustu. In his arsenal includes a technique that resembles a technique used by Zetzu called the Attack Prevention Technique which allows him to merge with anything to avoid an attack

and another technique Body Shedding where he can avoid any attack by materialising a new body and emerging from his mouth with clothing and injuries completely restored.

Orochimaru was able to take naruto in tailed beast mode Orochimaru was able to elude Naruto, finding the battle enjoyable while provoking Naruto further.
even when orochimaru had to fight the other two sanin without the use of his ninjutsu he was able to hold his own and leave the fight alive realizing he need to obtain another way to get his arms back.

With Tsunades Strenght as her only real offensive attack she would not be able to easily hit orochimaru and even if she did land a hit as she has dont before he can simple heal and regenerate himself. Orochimaru has a charkra absorbtion ability that allows him to steal charkra without hand signs by touching you to help him continue to spam his summonings and evasive jutsu.
Jiraiya would be Orochimaru's real challenge with his toad summoning and sage mode. But even with his toad summons, orochimaru's Manda and EDO Tension summons will be alot for Jiraiya to handle. Even in his sage mode how could Jiraiya handle Pien and other members of Akatsuki.

No that battle can not be taken serious. Jiraiya didn't even have Sm Tsunade was just off IMO with all their abilities shown in the Manga now Jiraiya could beat Orochimaru.

Well the problem against Tsunade that Orochimaru has is that many of his seen attacks deal with being poisoned or stabbed....with Tsunade's Byakugou she is capable of negsting all of his techniques...she also had that nerve switch move she used on Kabuto....now Orochimaru could easily figure it out, but in that time it could be over.

Now of course Orochimaru has to be caught for Tsunade to even hit him, but all she simply has to do is wait for him to attack....if he tries to stab her with his sword then she csn easily grab a hold of him right then and there....Orochimaru afterall mentioned she csn kill in one hit....and it has been seen exactly how easily she can do it too (messed up buildings and shit).


As a whole Orochimaru is most likely the strongest and smartest of the three, but it all comes down to match ups....

Orochimaru < Tsunade < Jiraiya < Orochimaru.....the signs just indicate bad match up....


For example, Jiraiya has several long range techniques he showed as well as physically enhanced Sage mode do he is capable of defending Tsunade's heavy hits while keeping a distance to wear her down.

Jiraiya's techniques are incapable of actually getting Orochimaru due to his shedding techniques

Tsunade has the advantage due to many of Orochimaru's techs being piercing and stabbing related (snake related) She is strong enough to handle summons, and dodge snake armies or just run through them, and if Orochimaru tries to stab her up close she survives due to Healing and she has him in her hold.


No I mean Edo Tensei kinda changes things up a bit...but as far as just Orochimaru goes His attacks (so far) don't exactly kill Tsunade.

Oro can steal chakra, he did it to tsunade when jiraiya and tsunade fought him, when he wrapped his tounge around her neck.

That makes no sense kabuto stated he mastered edo beyond oro so what we seen of oro's edo's I am pretty sure jiraiya could handle that.

Edo Tensei is a dark but very powerful ninjutsu. I agree that using it to revive strong shinobi, Orochimaru outshines the other two in battle. Still gotta give credit to Jiraiya though, since he DID learn Sage Mode (something Orochimaru wanted to achieve too but couldn't in his life-time so far). He did create the Curse Mark, which seems to gather natural energy if I'm correct, but it's not the real deal. Props to Tsunade too for her progression in medical prowess... there are a lot of doors open for those trained in that field (although IMO Kishi neglected it a bit).

I have to agree.. While tsunade and orochimaru have a edge over jiraiya because of their immortality. Orochimaru is the stronger of the three with a larger arsenal of jutsu. He cant be killed and the man tanked a TBB. fought a 4 tailed naruto with no hands and was sad that he had to leave and couldnt finish toying with naruto.smh oro is a boss

Actually if he gets into Sage mode his chances of winning will jump.

Since while is Sm he has both Ma + Pa on his shoulders and they have one of the most powerful Genjutsu's in the manga, if they get off their sound Genjutsu then They can Seal Oro and his Edo's.

Orochimaru is the strongest sannin
even without Edo tensei he can beat tsunade and jiraiya 1 vs 1

he is immortal without healing jutsus ( tsunade )
u can't beat him with Ninjutsu or taijutsu

Also we didn't see his full power
the third hokage gives us a hint about how powerful Orochimaru jutsus are when he took and seal his hands from using any jutsu

Also Orochimaru Summons are way stronger comparing to tsunade and jiraiya
i mean the guy fought 2 kage level with no arms

with Edo tensei it's overkill
remember Orochimaru has all the shinobies DNA

Kabuto just got it from Orochimaru

Orochimaru can summon people like edo hashirama , edo tobirama , Edo madara
he has all the DNA he is the main SOURCE for these DNA not kabuto

so Oro doesn't has to fight even he can summon the edo and eat a pop corn
