orochimaru is not Weak. he is capable of hold his own as seen when he fought naruto with a nine tails cloak. sasuke had advantage do to his weak state and he basically found immortality using his curse mark. don't under rate this guy. he's one of the smartest and wises poeple in naruto. and because of him he revived the kages using reanimation justu, also stoped the second using senju cells. and played a crucial part in the war.

When Oro manifested from Sasu’s curse mark to battle Itachi, he was imprisoned in the totsuka blade for all eternity. That was his second death, which is how Sasuke’s CM disappeared. And his third death was when Itachi’s Amaterasu spread a part and burned his snakes, which means that despite being killed again, he really wasn’t dead. Now, I don’t recall if it was ever shown how Orochimaru came back after that but I’m pretty sure it didn’t so regardless, Orochimaru is immortal and also, it was Orochimaru’s choice to not defy Sasuke’s will. To your second point, you can harp about Yamato’s uselessness all you want but the fact remains that one of the only users of Wood Release is Shadowing Orochimaru, who is still clearly a thread. Yes he can come back but anybody can if the writer wants them too..jjiraiya can come back via edo if the write rhad his dna. Available in a situation in which it could be used but that doesnt make him immortal...If orchimaru came back each and every time under his own power without any outside help, that makes him truly immortal..i said this before SASUKE IS THE SOLE REASON ORCHIMARU CAME BACK IN THE WAR ARC..TO OUR KNOWLEDGE, ALL CREDIT FOR THAT RETURN IS DUE TO SASUKE ALONE. SO IF NOT FOR SASUKE THERE IS NO RETURN. That is not true immortality my friend. Orochimaru is a ninja who has many ways to return but they are dependent on certain conditons or in sasuke case, actual help to make it happen. I am sorry..that is not being immortal.
