he was part of kohana's destruction in part 1
he was able to beat sasuke and naruto (naruto with 9tails chakra) in part 1
he managed to lure sasuke with his curse mark
has loads of followers e.g kidomaru,Sakon and Ukon,Jirōbō,Tayuya which are srong shinoibi.
he went toe to toe with naruto in 4tails mode
has reanimation jutsu ( which he can use on him self)
beat hurizen (and i know hiruzin was old but orchimaru still deafeted hiruzen)

AND HE WAS NEARLY ABLE TO USE SAGE MODE
HE CAN GO HEAD TO HEAD WITH JIRIYA IN SAGE MODE
