Hmmmm I see that everyone misunderstands this situation. Nothing we have allows us to make a complete assumption the Sasuke and Oro are "good." Sasuke is protecting the leaf from infinite tsukoyomi. It's "itachis village" he's protecting, not because its his hometown. But we will still have wait and see.

inn all honesty i hope your wrong about this because i love the idea of orochimaru being the final villain and naruto having to fight the 4 previous hokages ... i just think that would be a good story having to fight the 4 previous hokages and then finally becoming hokage himself xD

While I agree that his change of heart may be sincere, and Orochimaru's motives where always somewhat a still unsolved mystery (Jiraiya: "He yelled at me that I couldn't understand him at all"), nonetheless I definitely disagree with the notion that he "was never evil to begin with".

I mean... experimenting on children with a 1/50 survival chance? No, just no.

I seriously doubt it, Orochimaru is one of the most vicious characters in the series, don't forget he experimented and killed babies and smiled while admitting it.

I think he is pulling a double cross somewhere along the line. Don't forget we have a year of manga left.

I liked it, even though I disagree. I think Kishi really needs a villain. A true villain that cannot turn good by some Talk no Jutsu. Oro was the best villain in Naruto, and it would be so coll if he took over Madara's body.

Nicely done. However, i am still skeptical and dont trust Orochimaru. yes he has shown aspect of a human being within his nature, however, he has also shown the aspects of a madman (that crazy laugh when his face was that of a woman when he was fighting Hiruzen).

I do think he is interested in seeing where Sasukes path will lead. However i also think that his thirst for power will also resurface. If Madara is beaten the temptation tothen control Sasukes body, merging with him his newly acquired Senju (zetsu) DNA and Sasukes Uchiha DNA could possibly give birth to Sasukes Rinnegan and subsequently am oppertunity of him (Oro merged with Sasuke) to gain control of the Juubi.

I am using my cell phone so cant upload links and pics, but i remember Oro had a desire to be the new SO6P. that type of power. Obviously we know that he will not be, however it is also the only way we will get the Naruto vs Sasuke fight that most of us have also been waiting for considering that Sasuke on his own merit has now turned good.

Excellent thread, however i am still to be convinced further by Orochimaru. I remember him saying he was waiting for Sasuke to be primed.

Oro the snake - i just dont trust him.

Sometimes he looks like he wants to continue his plans, other times he seems to regret what he did and is trying to understand why Sasuke didn't follow his path. He's very confusing. You point out many things that make me lean toward seeing him as a good guy instead of the ultimate villain many of us think he will become. It's up to Kishimoto but those panels do hint at his redemption if you look at the glass as half full.

i think that oro is seeing sasukes glass as half full, and just biding his time.

Need I remind you that this is the man who...

- Kidnapped infants to experiment on them making them all Senju DNA guinea pigs.
- Disregarded human life....even going as to sacrificing all of his Sound Ninja army.
- Coveting the Sharingan and such.

Believe you me. The only thing Orochimaru is doing here is getting the competition out of the way....Madara and Obito because no one wants to be apart of the Infinite Tsukiyomi. The enemy of my enemy is my friend....for now.
