[Theory] Orochimaru holds the key to everything

Enjoyed the read! I'm a "book writer" myself on forums (no matter how hard i try to slim it down), so I enjoyed it 
I want to share my idea and use it to support your statement of "I think that Orochimaru and Madara were at one point temporary allies"
When Sasuke fought Danzou, Tobi said "Dam you Orochimaru, you must have stayed in contact with Danzou"
To me this proves that Madara, Danzou and Maru were in contact with one another.
So now to my idea to answer the question (How would Obito know about the Madara \ Danzou \ Maru group?)
I believe:
Madara did give the rinnegan to Nagato.
Madara died shortly after passing on his rinnegan.
Madara used Zetsu's recording abilities to pass on his knowledge, plan and any other information of his choosing.
Madara died entrusting Zetsu to find the next candidate to carry on the moon's eye plan.
**Somehow Madara knew Obito's name** ignoring that detail to keep this shorter
When Zetsu recovered Obito's body and healed him, Zetsu shared all of Madara's 'recordings' with Obito. (It may have been a more advanced record ability)(It may have also included some training or actually infusing some of Madara's battle experience into Obito)
Either way, Obito was now living again and acquired every piece of information Madara wanted to pass onto him.
I'll stop here and drop my other theory
I believe Madara created Black Zetsu while trying to revive his brother with Hashirama's DNA. It was a "failed" experiment, but through re-animating his brother's corpse, Black Zetsu was created with a personality that was a cross between Hashirama and Izuna. (Remember that the white zetsu's were considered alternate egos of Hashirama by Sakura during the current war).
Being that Izuna is now Black Zetsu, he acquired the "recording" ability, remains loyal to Madara and Madara's plans and explains why Izuna isn't edo'd but Madara is.
