Orochimaru hint in 663

In the new chapter 663 Kishi gave us a hint to something through Orochimaru:

For those who are not up to date, the last few chapters we haven't seen any activity from Orochimarus side at all, he has been hiding behind a rock, observing the battlefield - to be more precise, the enemy of the allied shinobi forces in the spiral zetsu suit.

After seeing Karin using the very same chakra chains that Kushina Uzumaki used to restrain the Kyubi (Uzumazi Clan restricted special chakra ability), Orochimaru thinks 'Now I finally understand.' and is able to take down the enemy with one hit for a good ammount of time.

The big question now is: What exactly did he finally understand?

The word 'finally' obviously is hinting towords something that Orochimaru has been wondering about for some time already and might simply refere to the spiral zetsu suited enemy, or it could be related to something else (future plot development?).
For now I think the more obvious assumption seems to be, that he is simply refering to the unknown enemy - if so however, what does the fact that Karin used (or could use?) the chakra chains in this situation give away about the enemy?

The chakra chains have so far only been seen in use against the Kyuubi, in order to restrain him. Is the Kyuubi chakra maybe necessary for the chains to be triggered? But then again who has Kyuubi chakra and could be in that suit?

What are your thoughts on this?

Oro is a brilliant shinobi. I believe Oro has some plan to take action against the enemy. And now that Oro took a real action in the fight he be able to pull something amazing off or Madera could crush Oro's plan and be totally lame.

It might just be that he figured something out about Karin.

Maybe that they have actually formed bonds as a team, and that they don't just follow sasuke for their own personal reasons.

I really cannot say, I don't think the kyuubi chakra is necessary for the chains to be triggered as you can clearly see she is using them, which surprised the hell out of me. Also she doesn't have a kyuubi shroud, so I don't know...

Also it's always interesting to see what Orochimaru is thinking about.

When the Kyuubi was extracted from Kushina, she didn't have Kyuubi chakra herself either and still used the chains... however, she used them against Kyuubi chakra.
Its really just one of my wild guesses, but since we have never seen Kushina or Karin use the chains in 'normal' battles before it feels like there could be some sort of restriction - the presence of the kyuubi chakra is just the first thing that came to my mind / made the most sense. That however would mean that the spiral zetsu guy must have Kyuubi chakra, wich would be weird to say the least...

It's likely something Orochimaru experimented on Karin with, knowing she's Uzumaki. He probably wanted to harness these chains to take advantage of Naruto/Kyuubi when he still wanted to destroy the Leaf, but couldn't figure out how to make the chains manifest within Karin.

It still surprises me that the chains came out at this point in time though.
If your translation is correct, then the chains were just side information and unrelated to the plot...

i dnt think the chakra chains are specifically for the kyuubi or bijuu, they are the sealing clan basically and the chains had previously been used for the restraint of the kyuubi but it obviously can be used in combat sonce karin did it just now, and i dnt think oro said now i finally understand due to the spiral zetsu guy, he said it most likely because he studied uzumaki clan shit and only hypothesized that more than one could do that and is finally seeing the truth that other clan members can do it...

im almost certain what your saying is wrong because karin would have to have had the chains activated unknowingly off of reacting to the spiral zetsu figure but thatwasnt the case she clearly activated the chains on her own and said " dnt underestimate me "

If possible, always make predictions based on ***********'s transations. There Orochimaru says: "It's finally come out" meaning that Orochimaru fully knew Karins potential and in this chapter he was happy for her being actually capable of bringing it out.
