That is very possible.While the allied forces fight madara and obito sasuke fights oro.
However i think it will happen after the fight with madara and obito or at least it will end afterward unless kishi wants to break the fight scenes down and have every other chapter focus on each fight.I hope not they already did that i hope they don't decide to split the attention once more. + rep

Stop being ignorant, Kabuto showed him that he can perform sage mode, that's what Orochimaru can obtain. Is it nothing for you? So it definitely makes sense and it does adding to it's story- making him more powerful than he is now.
