I actually had a theory about this. I think you can bring people back at the same stage they are when the blood sample is taken from the body... Sadly this theory failed, since Madara had rinnegan.

Yeah. There was no excuse for this. I don't get why Orochimaru didn't bring Hiruzen at his prime, since he have done it with the other kages.

I don't think so. Why there was no old Madara? We had Madara at his prime.


Plus there may be jutsu that requires a high chakra pool, something that can't be achieved by an old Hiruzen.

Just think about shadow clones. He can't make as many as in his prime, since his chakra pool is smaller.

Madara only came back young because Kabuto modified his body. Orochimaru didn't possess Hiruzen's dead body.

Hashirama body wasn't there with Orochimaru. Yet, Hashirama was back at his prime. No disease.
