Quite a few times, we have seen orochimaru become emotional....for exqmple, when he attacked his former sensei hiruzen and was pointing a kunai on his neck(during sound and sand invasion arc). When dan died oro could see his comrade and teammate tsunade spdesperately trying to heal him hoping that he would come back to life and oro did shed a tear. So my question is that does oroxhimaru still have feelings for his teammates and sarutobi. What is his real reason behind trying to gain immortality? Is it just so that he can learn all the jutsu or there is some other reason?

Orochimaru is the same as Sasuke. They were still born in Konoha. Nobody is truly ever evil, that's what Kishi is probably trying to point out, events must take place for someone to fall into darkness. They could've destroyed Konoha in the last chapter, but Sasuke just looked at Konoha lost in thought. Orochimaru also made some good points about it too.

His parents died when he was young and he took it really badly. He dislikes how people feel sad when people die so he wants to become immortal. That's the reason I remember anyway not 100%. Wow I don't remember oro crying when Dan died thanks man.

This.^ It's not like Oro was born crazy, he had good bonds with his teammates and teacher but in the end his parent's deaths affected very strongly to the point where he sorta lost his mind and fell into darkness.

I believe that maybe he tried to become a sadist so that he is doesn't have to feel the pain of losing his comrades........when the three sannins met nagato, konan, yahiko orochimaru at first offered to kill them....and why? Because the world is cruel and in that world those three orphans would have to live with all hardships since they don't know how to defend themselves....so he wanted to free them of that pain awaiting in the future....maybe oro knew what that pain is..since he was an orphan....and that's why he didn't want anyine to face that pain.....

You know I was thinking about orochimaru's emotional side today. Anways I think it all started when his parents died at a very young age. He found that white snake skin which, according to hiruzen, represents rebirth. I think this is what inspired him to learn forbidden jutsu - mabe he wanted to revive his parents. Who knows...

And then when he witnessed the deaths of nawaki and dan, he realised the fragility of human life and I think thats what caused him to want to gain immortality.
