BUT...

2. Orochimaru would have had to resurrect Minato before putting him into the coffin.

So if he couldn't resurrect Minato, who was in the coffin?

Kishi probably changed the whole resurrecting procedure, in part one the ritual was done at the same time when orochimaru summoned coffins

in part two it was split into two process

Basically how was Orochimaru expecting to summon Minato's soul, when it was in the belly of Shinigami/Reaper?

Cos he did not know at that point
