Hasn't been shown in the manga, so everyone's opinion on this carries equal weight. I personally think the guy who dedicated his whole life to finding immortality and found a way to repair almost any damage to his body by regurgitating himself a new body, has found a way to get past decapitation. Through feats, no. Through characterization, yes.
