I do not want to see one of my favorite characters get turned into some overrated piece of shit. Orochimaru lacked the chakra reserves to keep the Rinnegan active 24/7. He would need to train in order to master it, and he had no prior knowledge on it's techniques at that time.

He would eventually become more powerful, but ultimately dependent on those eyes. Which, combined with his arrogance that has led to multiple defeats, would make him an ever more exploited character by calm, cool, and rational shinobi. Those who could discover a weakness to the rinnegan, is what I am refering to. Lookin' at you, Itachi, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Shikamaru, Possibly Sasori.

I understand Nagato had alot of chakra due to being an Uzumaki, but he'd never trained in ninjutsu and he was GIVEN the rinnegan, so Orochimaru>Nagato at the time, and he kept them up 24/7

on the other hand, it wouldnt matter what chakra reserves he has cos his technique allows him to take the body of whom he wants...that's how he was planning on using the sharingan to its full potential!
