Orochimaru says they're in his own, separate dimension. And since he created it himself and can freely enter/leave it, nothings stops him moving there while in Kamui dimension and then simply return to the normal world.

Well, yes. It would, but it'd be just an empty shell - with all the chakra removed. And since we've seen Orochimaru being brought back to life from just a small portion of his chakra (only chakra, there was no body in his cursed seals - yet he managed to recreate his whole body with his chakra alone while being unsealed), there would be absolutely no problem for him to do the same thing with his WHOLE chakra, not just a little bit from a cursed seal - considering that this time he isn't sealed, so no help from other people is needed.

Well, I agree that it may seem confusing at first, but it's not just a pure speculation. There are manga facts that strongly suggest that he could do that. (We can't know for sure since we've never seen any Oro vs Obito fight).

Kamui dimension isn't a jutsu..it's a dimension, but it takes a jutsu (Kamui) to get there. What does Itachi's words of wisdom have to do with this?

But call it whatever you want. It doesn't change the fact Oro can simply move to his own dimension whether Kamui's one is a jutsu or not.

Kamui dimension doesn't exist because the jutsu, in order for someone to get there they must be able to use Kamui, it doesn't create this whole dimension while the jutsu is active or anything in the sort, it's just the gate to get there and back. We're not sure of the dimensions origins but I doubt it was the jutsu that created the dimension. But Orochimaru..miiight be able to escape it, but we'll probably never know.
