All the time he always huger for Uchiha power in the whole story has no interest at all with Byakugan. It can be he don't have a clue about that existence Kaguya as Byakugan user (otsutsuki born with byakugan btw) and Hamura other son of Kaguya is the ancestor for Hyuga and Otsutsuki clan. He maybe only know kaguya is Rinne-Sharingan user and Hagoromo is Rinnegan user.. stop at this..

Orochimaru obsession on the 'fruit of knowledge/chakura' disposal only related it with the power of Hagoromo and Rinnegan but the 'missing link' he lost is he dont know about the second son Hamura's side the Tenseigan and Byakugan. After he got Rinne Sharingan on whatever way possible there is always someone capable enough to match him which is Rinnegan (Sasuke) and Tenseigan (Boruto) ultimate combo that able to defeat Rinne-Sharingan user like happening to Kaguya before..

Anyways this is only my prediction it can be fanfic also look upon this in Boruto movie hopefully... :hmm:
