Orochimaru brainwashed???

Is it impossible to believe that Itachi must have had something to do with Orochimaru being nice to Sasuke and not trying to take his body anymore? Orochimaru had the opportunity to attack Sasuke when he helped him free the Hokages. So why is Orochimaru acting so nicely towards his Sasuke & co. Could it be that Itachi casted a genjutsu on Orochimaru while he was still inside Sasuke?

We need to understand what Orochimaru wanted to achieve in life and that was to master all Jutsus, since he lost to Sasuke (he's disciple) and by watching from inside how fail his way was watching Kabuto copy him completely understood that his Teacher (3rd hokage) might have being right all along and if it's proven that even Sasuke can go from good to pure evil and back to good like it goes why can't he himself go good again, and continue accomplishing his dream, master all jutsus. And something else to add here he doesn't even need to captivate bodies since he can just get into Jetsu's bodies wich was a big problem for him to go good again (he needed to kill other in order to be kept alive). We don't know what would have happened with Orochimaru if the 3rd had chosen him instead of Minato as the 4th Hokage. Kishi seems to have a valid pattern for all his villian's, ALL of them have a reason to go evil and all have the essence to change.
Orochimaru was cut off by his teacher from beign the next Hokage and trying to stop his research, Gara as a Jinchuriki was learn to hate all, Sasuke hated his bro until he learned the truth the he hated the village, Obito by not be able to accept that Rin died and that Kakashi didn't kept his promise decided to change by Madara's plan the world, Madara couldn't forget that he had lost his family couldn't really stay and play it mister nice guy in the village.

All of them had a reason to turn evil and all where good naive kids before with the essence to find goodness again.

I don't really want to dickride really hard, but you should read Sir Derp Obito's theoy about the Rikudou Sennin. It explains what Orochimaru wanted. I'll just simplify it. Orochimaru wanted Sasuke's body to enter the Naka Shrine. He doesn't need his body anymore because, wel, 7 chapters ago he got into the Shrine WITH Sasuke's help WITHOUT taking his body. So no Orochimaru is not brainwashed, but he might have other motives.

Orochimaru has givin up. I think he realizes that he cannot take Sasuke's body and is in it for the entertainment and the joy of the ride. I wonder what it would be like if he went 1 on 1 with Kabuto

Orochimaru saw through Kabuto how messed up his ways were and how he screwed up a kid that would've been decent in his own right but chose to see his master as a god and emulate him. Orochimaru's goals are to learn all the jutsu's and secrets the shinobi world has to offer, he needed bodies in the past because of the jutsu he was using.. he has no need for them now since he has senju DNA (supposedly) and Zetsu at his disposal.

His motives to obtain an Uchiha body was for 1) to gain the sharingan so he could unlock it's secrets/copy jutsu and 2) to get into the shrine.

Well since he has the perfect body(s) now, he won't have to worry about dying unless he is fully sealed... so he has unlimited time to learn jutsu, so 1 is crossed off. Sasuke led him to the shrine and he got in, so 2 is crossed out.

I really don't think he will be a main villain, he hasn't really been since Akatsuki came around and then when Obito/Tobi and Kabuto took the reins. No one in this series has been a true villain other than Hidan(bloodlust), Kakazu(greed), Obito(although recently that's questionable... and has been really since all he wants is peace)... and anyone else I missed. They all turn out to have a revelation of some sort.. which to be honest is the whole point since Naruto is supposed to change the shinobi world one person at a time I guess.

I like it that someone agreed with my point of view Also i find it very good that this whole manga isn't a pure evil or pure good but it has mixed feeling's that can reform one, that's how things are in reality to in most cases.

No I don't think he was brainwashed , but something happened to him Lol although Itachi didn't kill him back then
, in their akatsuki days, because they were both in akatsuki and that would look bad on Itachi since he is trying to watch them carefully and get information on the inside as a member , but killing another member and so early on would draw too much attention on him... the others simply couldn't kill eachother (hidan & kakuzu) sorry those two weren't members at that time Lol but killing a teammate in akatsuki would not sit well .

Also Kabuto being talked to and beaten by Itachi affected Orochimaru when he took back his DNA from Kabuto.
So in that way it affected Orochimaru (kinda like brainwashing I guess) he said it himself that he saw a lot through Kabuto so it seems like he understands what is going on within his own goals and agenda , but doesn't mean that he will stop completely trying to get Sasuke's body.
