Orochimaru and Nagato's Rinnegan - Did anyone notice?

I'm sure he practically wanted an Uchiha body. Otherwise he could've also kept a few sharingan before experimenting on Danzo. Though I believe I read that Danzo allowed Orochimaru to experiment on him hence having all those sharingan and Senju DNA in his right or left arm. If i'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

Getting access to an Uchiha's eyes would obviously be easier than getting access to an Uchiha's body. Nagato had the Rinnegan but he still wasn't an Uchiha.

It has to do with the progression of the Sharingan into the Rinnegan. Nagato can only use Rinnegan techs, unlike Madara who can use his Sharingan, EMS, and Rinnegan techs due to unlocking each level of the Sharingan. Also, take into consideration that with the Sharingan Orochimaru can successfully most jutsus he comes across, and be able to perform them. The Rinnegan cannot do so.

orochimaru stated many times that he needs a fresh par of new eyes.
if he implants the sasuke`s sharingan and imbuse himself with senju dna.
He will basically will be edo madara...unstoppable. Nagato is

Oro doesn't need Hashirama DNA to gain the rinnegan. He is already a Uzimaki/Senju, he just wants the Sharingan so he can develop the rinnegan on his own. Plus if he got Sasuke's body, he would just inject his own cells in that body and unlock the rinnegan

Perhaps Orochimaru thought to himself that Nagato would be to difficult so he would settle with Itachi's Sharingan and then strengthen it into a Rinnegan via hashirama DNA.

YEP^ and oro obviously has senju DNA. he gave some to danzo and used it for edo tensei to summon hashirama. honestly maybe he was using gonna use sasuke to get his sharingan so he could kill itachi and get itachi's sharingan. who knows

Reason is simple. Take a look at Madara. He 4 sets of eyes, in his two eyes. (Normal eyes, 3 tomme, EMS, and Rinnigan) Now, look at Nagato. He has 1 set of eyes. the Rinnigan.
If you acheive Rinnigan through mastery of the sharingan you are able to switch back and forth. If you are given Rinnigan, you can only ever use that. So, since Orochimaru is obsessed with jutsu and wants to be able to use eveything, he needs a sharingan. (probally just one so he can have a 3 tomme, EMS, and Rinnigan) and he would also have the byakugan. If he just chooses the Rinnigan, he is in effect, shutting himself out of a whole new relm of dojutsu abilities~ that is: the sharingan.

simply he thought pein was much to powerful to attack, and thought that he could get itachi by surprise...simply though he wantes a madara type rinnengan(sharingan and rinnengan transition) so he can use rinnegan techs and nature, but use sharingan copying techs....his goal is to learn all jutsu, and that is much tougher with a rinnegan than a sharingan....but easier if you have both

Whatever the reason is, Oro is hiding something huge. He knows something others dont. I believe this is somehow connected to what Sasuke and Oro is up to in the manga now. Oro is gonna reveal his biggets secrets and change this war by showing us the true power of the Sage of the Six Paths i believe.

Oro's goal is to learn every jutsu on earth. He needs the Rinnegan for that. He could not possibly take on a Rinnegan user, so he was planning to get an uchiha body with a sharingan, and upgrade it to a Rinnegan.

Well this is the theory that makes most sense so far.
