Vega, this is an absolutely wonderful thread, like a beacon of light among the darkness.

I thought the connections with Uzumaki and Zetsu were especially interesting. I definitely think that Oro's role isn't over yet, and thanks for creating this wonderful thread to highlight that.

This was a great Theory.
It gives an almost inevitable purpose to Orochimaru, hence his existence is bound to be more than just for one character's purpose.
Kishi does a great job of putting down the pieces of a puzzle during different times of the story in order for them to either fall in place on their own or for a character of the caliber as Orochimaru to formulate and put together on his own.
Most of this war is only a stepping stone for Orochimaru's plans, hence he mentions that this war is something he doesnt care for.

I finally got to read all of the thread. Great thread, once again. You connected your points very well.

I also think it's very possible that Orochimaru, now enhanced by Hashirama's cells (which should shave the three year cooldown time for Living Corpse Reincarnation down to a day), will take someone's body before it's all said and done.

I don't have much to say, Vega. This is a great theory.

Kabuto did once say that he wants to discover the pure unadulterated truth of ninjutsu, using Sasuke as the medium. If Oro was aware of Hagoromo's conscious state of existence, then I wonder if he ever suspected the transmigration of Indra and Ashura. After all, Hagoromo's lingering through the generations would be enough to warrant curiosity and investigation. This could be part of the reason for Oro being selective of the Uchiha he desire to inhabit, though this is tentative because he was always specific in choosing his host.

This can also be another motive for researching Hashirama's DNA, for possible evidence of the presence of Ashura's chakra/life force.

Certainly, it's a reasonable assumption that Hagoromo would be able to tell the truth of ninjutsu. I'm not saying this is how Orochimaru/Kabuto was planning to unveil the secrets of ninjutsu, but is merely giving an example of how he could.
