Did we see Orochimaru die ? Was there any hint by Kishi that he is dead ? Then, he is alive unless Kishi either hints or gives a clear indication that he is dead.

Not only that but it's stated he's the villain for the next series. It's clear Kishi saw oro still had a huge following. Not only that but besides his fight with Sarutobi we have never seen him actually battle with all of his jutsu. And that fight was mostly getting into his head and using ET. He still has an enormous amount of untapped potential as a villain
