Orochimaru wont fight Madara himself but may help with the Juubi, I highly doubt the Juubi had been defeated as Madara would not allow his life ambition to be destroyed so easily.
What Naruto and Sasuke have done to the Juubi must have benefited Madara in some way for him not to attack and just smirk at their progress.
