Now that we have seen the ending of the tournament, would Buu have been a better fit of the tournament than Frieza?

Would they have done better, had an easier time or no?




BONUS question...If we replace Tien with Buu...how does it play it since he was utterly worthless compared to EVERYONE else

Buu would have been too op. He would turn everyone into candy and throw em out the ring.

No I'd keep Tien. Replace both Krillian & Roshi with Goten and Trunks.

Buu would be OP but his lack of seriousness would take away from the tension unless he gets eliminated in the 1st half where the tension isn’t so high yet

There wouldn't have been a tournament if Buu was there. Everyone would have been turned into candy within the first couple of minutes. I wouldn't have included Goten or Trunks though. They would not have been serious enough for this, and if they fused it would have been worse. No doubt they would have tried to take on Jiren and would have gotten handled.

If Buu would be serious on the tournament (and we saw that when he is serious it is about to go down) then I think he would be as good as Freeza if not better.

Buu would be too OP with his magic and genetics.

Frieza was a good choice.
Frieza as a character has more depth than Cell and having Frieza on the team allows for more interesting interactions with his teammates, Beerus, Frost and the u6 saiyans compared to what would be possible with Cell.

I dont get why people want Cell.
What would have been so interesting of having him in the team over Frieza?

Goten add Trunks are too young and not serious enough.
They would take too much risk and lose.

They could have done more with Tien than they did.

Pretty sure that buu would start absorbing some pretty powerful people and transform into something formidable and a complete wild card. Super Buu gohan absorbed is already stronger than someone like Dyspo and possibly Hit. Now imagine if he absorb a state beyond that and charge up to the level of Super Huge Majin Buu (south supreme kai absorbed).

It'll get tough from there and his resilience would be a problem too. Idk if he needs to keep them in little gum pods inside his body to further elevate his ki or not but he can dispose of them by ringing them out once he's done with them.

Um....I dont know where you got the idea that Super Buu with gohan absorbed is stronger than Dyspo let alone hit....that's not proven at all because if you remember...the majority of Z was butchered by Super...I guess you have a case if you argued Vegito with SS1 and SS2 and SS3 could be on their levels...but still

That being said, i do agree this absorption crap could be a major issue for everyone but wouldn't buu freak out then and try to massacre everyone or like absorb zeno lol

I'd have kept Roshi and Krillin, but i would have given a proper explanation for their power ups.

I would have made Whis train them (or lets say Beerus trains them because the grand priest doesn't allow the angels to help their universes, so you would have some comedy relief there) and that way you skip 20+ chapters of filler before the tournament starts and you have Tien Roshi and Krillin on SSj 1 level. I also would have made the other universes teams more serious and stronger.
