So Tobi told Konan that he (Madara) gave Nagato the Rinnegan. i had always assumed that Madara obtained the Rinnegan from the SO6P, but now im guessing that maybe Madara gave HIS Rinnegan to Nagato, but that would beg the question, why?
Maybe it has to do with Gedo Mazo needing to be fed a certain amount of Chakra (for some unknown purpose) that Madara couldn't provide without dying (the use of Gedo Mazo seems to have a particularly heavy toll on the user, even an Uzamaki), or something that didn't allow Madara to use the full abilities of the Rinnegan, so he gave the Rinnegan to someone that could use the Rinnegan for his plan... but somethin went wrong. what're your thoughts?

. madara said he achieved the rinengan shortly before his death, now putting another piece in their to paint a picture; madara knows nagato, so assumptions sets that madara was very old when he FINALLY got rinengan(how ever he done it) . madara wanted to conquer the world after he gained that power(speculations) but their was a massive error in the equation, although madara had ems + rinen , he was still an old ass mothafuker and the power he had didnt do much justice, so he "planted his seed" while he hid in the shadows(in this case, in the afterlife) , he gave his eyes to nagato because hes an uzumaki and because of that he has a boatload of chakra and can handle the eyes. and madara wanted someone to make sure he is resurected back to the world "within time" , and this person is tobi, tobi was suppose to proceed with the plans in madaras absence and also make sure nagato has the capability to resurect madara when hes strong enough etc etc.
