It would be a weird twist in things but I honestly think he is too fixated on Sasuke & I got a feeling he will just be there to help him out disregarding anything else. Orochimaru is an opportunist though so I can see him doing anything it the chance arises, but look at the amount of powerhouses above him in the battlefield, he has alooot of competition.
