Opposites between Kakashi's Dad and Gai's

Theres not a lot, as he is literally only shown in what 5 pages, but we can tell that he;

• Sacrificed his life to save his son
• Considered a loser

And Sakumo;

• Killed himself out of shame
• Considered an elite

kakashi's dad is said to be awesome, dai died in action without even knowing if he beat anyone lol

Now that I think about it I don't know who was a better shinobi. Maybe it's Dai because he sacrificed himself for others and didn't abandon his son? At the same time Sakumo was a great shinobi that everybody loved. It's hard to say who was a better Shinobi but I think Dai is a better dad.

The main difference is that Gai's dad wasn't a wuss and didn't kill himself because everyone shamed him.

Dai was a very passionate ninja and looked at the brighter side of things, he was very optimistic and his philosophy was more flexible than Sakumo. I still have respect for both ninjas.

I'm going to go with Gaia dad he wasn't considered to be very powerful while kakashis dad was considered to be stronger than sanin but mentally dai is stronger
