What's great about her?

I like her character though. She represents purity and innocence. Something that contrasts with the manga's theme full of violence and despair. (I Don't like her because im an obito fan, i just like her character)

I want to get in on this but I'm not matched up well against fire types or psychic types...swords dance, focus sash and extreme speed though...

She's more useful and her attitude is more feminine and better.

She is a support character for Obito's character development or degradation, whichever way you take it. She has no meaning as a stand alone character, and that's the way Kishimoto intended it. She was never meant to have much of a Self. She is symbolic character, and has a metaphorical place in Obito's overall development.

Through her, Obito finally realized the depravity of the system he supported and had faith in. Her death made it all crumble. She denuded a lot of military regime factors, such as a complete disregard for ninja life, nothing but hunger for supremacy, decadence, and complete lack of human morals.

That's the best way I can put it. She is still an infinitely deep character compared to the likes of Hinata, Minato, Ino and the lot.

OT: Eh, I really don't like her. Probably my least favorite female in the series. I understand that we're supposed to feel sad for her tragic death and how unlucky she was, but with how we know so little about her and how she's long gone, I'm unable to feel for her. Not to mention the excessive flashbacks are annoying.

We can see that she's a girl that is able to sacrifice her own life for the safety of her village; she care for her comrades equally, and she's a nice person, all those are factors that make me respect her. Although as a character, she’s a mere plot device, really.
I don't like the amount of flashbacks we get about her though, it gets annoying most of the time. :/
