Before anyone says anything yes I see the irony in this. Ha ha. But this is merely an observation with my personal bias being the cebterpoint. So yes, it's an opinion.
Possibly the most unpredicted and ultimately irritating about social media sites and the Internet in general (Like what you're using right now) is the unwarranted and unwanted belief that everyone's opinion matters. If you haven't heard what I'm about to say before, then we have failed you, but: Yours, mine, and every single person's opinions don't amount to jack shit.
Now you may feel offended by that, I don't care. The sheer amount of opinions that have sprung up in the last decade is ultimately due to the fact that we encouraged people to speak their mind, and the comments section of literally every website in the world includes because they care about your thoughts. They also, unsurprisingly, don't care. The fact is that when you give someone unlimited access to a computer and ask them "What's on your mind?" They will write for HOURS. Hours that could be spent doing something productive or enlightening. (Again, ha ha irony.) But I think someone needs to really just tell everyone how little their opinions and beliefs actually mean to everyone.
There are positive opinions, there are ones where people could be condemning someone for a crime they commuted, but someone could show them something of a positive outlook on it from their perspective. And there's the ones that make people angry and need to write response threads. Probably the most prevalent one that I see on a daily basis are the "rants" that people post about something that has made them mad. (The amount of irony in this thread is over 9000!) those rants that people post may make a lot of sense after the first 2 or 3 but after awhile, they literally become just what they're called, rants. People just see you as an over opinionated weirdo who spends too much time in front of a computer.
So I'm going to ask what your opinion is of it, and I will to proceed to be crushed by the irony of it all. What are your guys thoughts on opinions? (Pretty sure that makes a black hole.)
