[Discussion] Opinions About Commercials

How do you feel about commercials in general? Are they annoying, do you mind them at all? Do you think they work at all? Have you ever bought a product because of a commercial?

It might sound strange, but I've talked to people that believe commercials are programing people subconsciously. For example, it lends to pressure that society gives as a whole. Things like skin care products make us too self-concsious.

What are your thoughts?

They are needed, i only dislike them if there REALLY dumb or they try and make the commercial loud as hell. There is a LOT of sub concious programming in comercials, so your friend is right

i didnt watch televsion for a long time, then i got one again and everytime i see commercials im like: "WTF" how can it be that people are not annoyed to getting paused every 15 minutes o_o

btw they are not needed. if i know what i want to watch, i watch it online without stupid commercials ^_^

Of course, I've pwned them all! If I do watch TV, I DVR the show then come back and watch it 15-30 min. later so I can just fast forward all the commercials... wn:
