Hagoromo chose Sasuke, not Nardo to get the Rinnegan. He entrusted Sasuke with the power, even knowing what Sasuke intended to do. He admitted that he messed up before. He said this to Sasuke but not to Naruto.

Hagoromo has set Nardo up to be defeated by Sasuke. He is picking the other son this time. Naruto will die and be defeated. He has been prepared as a sacrificial lamb. Hagoromo admitted in the 2nd to last picture he'd been naive. He realizes it now, that he shouldn't have split the Juubi apart. He should have destroyed it.

Naruto has admitted he cannot defeat Sasuke on his own. He has admitted that if they both fight, they will both die. Hashirama chose Sasuke, Hagoromo chose to give Sasuke power.

The manga has clearly fore-shadowed Sasuke as a sympathetic character, that is the truth. Whether NB wants to admit it or not, that isn't really relevant. Naruto is going to lose. The ninja way killed Sasuke's brother and his entire clan.

Nardo defends it on a blind notion. He is a naive child, and he will be utterly defeated, and he will probably die unless the fight is interrupted as it probably will be. The current ninja system is going to change. And it is going to be Hagoromo that dies. If Nardo doesn't change his views, he is going to die too.

As he'd say, believe it.

I think Sauce's point is that mankind will go right back to hunting their power, causing more wars. He doesn't think Naruto can stop that conflict. Whether Sauce is PNJ'd or not, meh. We'll see. I think it's more likely the fight is a draw and they agree to both become co-Hokage alongside Kakashi. Or some weird compromise ending, assuming they both survive and the movie is 100% cannon...

Anyways my point with this thread is that I think Sasuke is correct in pointing out how messed up the status quo is.
