There's a little something i needed to get off my chest. A lot of people don't seem to like/ not favor someone who has a religious view/way of looking at things. Firstly, anyone who imposes their opinion/thoughts/ideas/beliefs on another person is an idiot and should be ignored.
Having said that, its also true that while such individual has no right to tell anyone what to do or what not to do, they do have a right to believe whatever they will. They say religion is responsible for wars and oppression, and in recent times terrorism. I disagree. A question: lets say everyone became atheist effective immediately. Will war end? Will a man stop oppressing his fellow man? Will inequality end and will the few stop ruling over the many? To anyone who says yes to any of the above, read the history of the Soviet Union, a nation which killed millions of its own people, oppressed many more and whose ruling party maintained an iron control over the masses. And guess what? Religion was illegal and practising it was considered a crime:
There is much enlightenment that is needed, especially in the muslim world, to curb power hungry political forces that veil themselves as 'religious' for their own agendas(thats who these 'terrorists' really are.) This does NOT, however exclude the peaceful, hard working moderate middle class individual to his RIGHT to practise his/her religious beliefs.
Thoughts?
NOTE: This is NOT a discussion of religion, but of people's right to practise it.
