So I've just finished watching Valkyrie(2008) and couldn't help being reminded of the coup d'état in the final arc of FMAB.
Both operations, plotted by a Colonel with the assistance of his lieutenant, involve:
>bombing the fuhrer faraway from central
>spreading the news he's dead
>taking command in central
>with the aid of reserve army, arresting the fuhrer's inner circle/central forces
by framing them with conspiring against the fuhrer
>The fuhrer surviving the assassination attempt and trying to resume command in central
>Last but not least,
Or are they just tropes whenever a coup is involved?
