Opening song

For any upcoming anime or show in general, do you think it is better to orchestrate your own opening theme song? or would picking a pre-existing song suffice?

me personally, i would write the lyrics for the opening and then present it to a hired band. going the pre-way imo is for if there is already a existing song that matches the anime

Depends on how long the show is.


It's it's your typical mini season(11-13 episodes), or full season (26 episodes) then I don't see why not. It should be in the soundtrack along with all the other songs.

But if it's a continuous show like naruto, spanning 30 plus seasons then no.
