As Zeref had finally shown himself in the Death Star II, Neji rises from his throne chair and walked toward the ninja standing before him. "I've been expecting you." While he is saying this, he positions himself his stance: His torso is leaning forward a little bit, his katana is being held with both hands with the blade slightly dipped, his left leg is behind him [the knee is bent], and his dominant right leg is in front [it is straight, kind of going diagonal]. Ready to attack, he dashes and manages to get side of his opponent, where he gets his first slash with his sword in his shoulder. Neji then comes around in front of him and slices his Zeref's legs before kicking him down the flight of stairs. As Zeref falls flat on his back, Neji begins to concentrate as he channels his chakra into the blade. After doing so, retracts his sword and then swings his sword in a crescent shape and expels a red wave of chakra that creates a deep gash in his opponent's hip.

Zeref decided to expose his own sword the minute he finds his opponent dashing with the katana. "Don't expect me to go easy on you, Hyuga!", Zeref said calmly, almost as if he wasn't the least bit interested in the battle. When you begin to strike your first slash, at Zeref's right arm (i'm assuming its right, wasn't stated.) he channels lightning chakra into his own blade and strikes it against Neji's, vertically, creating an effective defense against the first slash. With the newfound strength of his katana, with the lightning channeled into the blade, he adds more force into his defense, turning it into an offensive move and drives his katana to the ground, pushing yours towards the ground as well. With your one hand that held the weapon lowered, Zeref kicks you back causing barely any physical damage but only served to gain some space. With his own sword lowered, he channels wind chakra and cancels out the lightning chakra. With a fluid upward/diagonal motion, he releases a blade of wind that is diagonal and darts towards your body, who at this time would be pushed back. "Don't stick that pointy thing at me.. You will regret it."

When Neji sees Zeref block his initial attack with his own lightning coated blade, Neji begins to focus as he is mustering up his chakra. As he is doing this, he builds up us a pretty sufficient amount of his chakra and proceeds to mold said chakra inside of his lungs and uses nature manipulation to create very concentrated futon. When Neji is finished building up his wind chakra, he exhales it onto his katana; increasing the cutting power and nullifies the lightning. "I never expected you to." Immediately afterwards, he picks up his blade and swings his sword to the left and up, slicing the Zeref's chest diagonally and takes an extra step so that he is behind him. After doing so, he flips the katana around into the Icepick-style [with 2 hands on the hilt] while still facing the opposite direction & guides the sword into him, impaling his opponent in the back and through his sternum. Neji then comes back around towards the front and leaps back to the throne chair.

With his left hand holding onto the lightning-infused katana, Zeref watches carefully and notes his opponent releasing some air-like substance into his own blade. As it coats into the weapon, Zeref could feel the weapon's force become stronger, and immediately knew that that 'chakra-like substance' was used to strengthen the weapon. With the chakra placed into the sword so close to Zeref's left hand, he knew that it would be the perfect opportunity to show off his clans ominous powers. He drops his weapon and grabs it with his right hand, while on his left hand, he would activate the two diamonds placed into the palms to absorb the chakra into the sword, making it into a normal katana. As your sword is completely drained of the wind chakra, Zeref holds up his own sword with his right hand, without the lightning this time to intercept the katana that would otherwise be pushed into Zeref's body. (Because of how our stance was, and how i abruptly took out the sword that was used as a wall for your sword, so without it your momentum would cause it to go further, so i intercept it before it hits me.) He gathers earth chakra into the sword and creates an extention of the sword, making it into an over-sized looking weapon. He slid it across your katana, pushing it back with sheer strength and at the same time, releases a sharp splinter-like earth projectils from it at dangerously close range.

When Neji was about to attack again, he notices that Zeref had placed his hand onto is blade and began to suck out the wind chakra from it. Before he could finish, however, Neji jumps up with one hand still on the hilt and picks up his legs. After doing so, he twists his body to the right while moving his left leg about in the process and manages to land a kick to Zeref's face, which sends him flying down the stairs.As his opponent is falling, Neji jumps into the air. He then points it downwards and as he falls towards the ground, he uses his sword to drill into his opponent.

Seeing one of your leg rise up, and your upper body lowered in order to perform such a maneuver, Zeref grabs your left leg as it is attempting its kick to his face and takes it by the ankle. He drops his sword to the ground and put his right foot over it while his right and left hand would grab your ankle area and twist them into the left, causing intense pain. He throws you to a 180 degree angle to the opposite side, about 5 meters away.

Before Neji could land a kick, he sees Zeref reach for his outstretched foot. Momentarily, he feels a siring pain, due to his opponent twisting his left ankle. Right after this happens, Neji receives a strong throw that sends him flying down the stairs, five meters away from him. As he gets up, he is only able to stand up on one foot, so he hangs onto one of the railing to stay up. Afterwards, Neji pulls out one of his two tantōs from his back pouch before spinning it a few times like a kunai and catching it right side up again. Seconds later, he begins to concentrate as he channels his wind chakra into the blade. After doing so, he proceeds to swing the sword, releasing the futon as whirlwinds of very sharp winds that cut Zeref deep in his arm.

The second after the wind gets near his opponent, Neji he leaps at full speed toward his opponent. When his is close enough, Neji flips his blade ice-pick style and performs an upward sword slash to the chest that has enough force to lift Zeref up 2 meters into the air. He then leaps onto the throne chair before quickly pivoting his right foot and leaping in the air towards his opponent. As he jumps up into the air, Neji manages to do a quick horizontal 360 degree spin before extending his right leg forward, tucks his left leg in so it bends almost 10 degrees (and his left foot is in contact with the opposite leg) and and sets up his dukes. As he draws near his opponent, Neji aims his foot at his opponent's rib cage and manages to make direct contact and sends him crashing down to the floor [but because pain in his ankle, the blow is a little softer and Neji is only able to push Zeref less than 6-5 feet back]. When lands after finishing his short attack, all Neji does is pant a few times & grabs onto his hurt ankle with his left hand.

Zeref grinned, a mischievous one as he rejoiced at the fact that he successfully disabled his opponent's leg, which would affect the outcome of the battle. That smile faded away rather quickly at the sight of a weapon being hurled towards him, although it wasn't the weapon alone. It had an aura around it, similar to the physical properties of wind but one thing is for sure, that it was made of chakra. With a quick motion, Zeref stabs his katana (normal, no modifications) in the ground and channels fire chakra into the ground, creating eight different dragons to appear made completely out of fire. The eight dragons rise up after being created from the ground, adjacent to each other and circling around Zeref. With a single hand motion, the dragons strike the tanto, overpowering the wind within it and continuing onto Neji.

When Neji had released a wave of wind at Zeref, he saw that he had stabbed his sword into the ground and created eight dragon heads made of fire which had eventually overpowered the wind. -Kuso...- Before his opponent had began to sent the fireballs at him, he knew exactly what to do. Without the need of a water source, Neji begins to build up his chakra & starts to use nature manipulation. With sheer effort, he starts to mold his chakra into water itself and then channels it through his right arm into his palm. Within seconds, he releases the water he created into his hand & transforms it into a sword with a razor-sharp edge. When the dragons came near, he raised his water sword and began to swiftly slice at the eight fireballs, canceling them out with every contact made.

After destroying the dragon heads, Neji disperses the water sword and takes out his second tantō [now has two in each hand]. He begins to concentrate as he channels his chakra into the blades. After doing so, retracts his swords and then swings the tantōs in a crescent shape, one over the other, and expels two red waves of chakra towards Zeref.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
