Mayuri stared at the person standing in front of him. Mayuri took out three kunai with an explosive tag attached to them and threw them in Neji's direction. He then took out a smoke bomb and threw it onto the ground in front of him causing a large amount of smoke appear.

Mayuri: Wake up, Kabuto
Kabuto: I hate you..

The smoke had temporarily obscured Neji's view of Mayuri and this gave Mayuri some time to make his next move. By utilizing the Kekkei Genkai of their clan, Kabuto separated himself from Mayuri

Description: The Twin Demons technique allows Sakon and Ukon to merge and unmerge their bodies together using their kekkei genkai. Typically, Ukon is dormant within Sakon's body, with only his head protruding from the back of Sakon's neck, although he can move freely inside of and protrude any part of his body parts from anywhere on his brother's body. The core behind this technique is the ability to reconstruct and deconstruct ones DNA to merge with anothers. While Sakon and Ukon possess this ability naturally, Kabuto Yakushi was able to copy it to enable him to access the DNA and the abilities and techniques of the other Sound Five Ninjas. Each time Kabuto switches between the abilities of each of of The Sound Five, he needs to activate this ability. Off course Kabutos usage is imperfect but mainly because he's using DNA copies of the Sound Five and not real living counterparts with the same ability. Because of this, he can never let any of the Sound Five unmerge from his body completely, otherwise the DNA material would perish and not function, as it takes its sustenance from Kabuto himself.

Once he had separated himself from Mayuri, Kabuto transformed himself so he would look just like Mayuri

Description: Henge no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique, which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

Once Kabuto had used the Transformation Technique, he started to run towards Neji from the left side while Mayuri started running towards Neji from the right

Neji channels chakra into his eyes to activate his dojutsu, the Byakugan. When he activates his Byakugan, his pupils become more visible and the veins near his temples bulge. He sees the three explosively-tagged kunai hurtling towards him. He aims his palm at the kunai, then blasts them with a burst of chakra from his the tenketsu within his hand, blowing them away from him. Due to his Byakugan, the smoke bomb doesn't affect Neji. He can see Kabuto and Mayuri's chakra and he can see what they are doing. After they seperate, they run at him from the right and left. Neji just stands there. When they get close, he starts spinning and at the same time, expels chakra from every tenketsu in his body. He also adds shape manipulation to the chakra to sharpen it. This creates a dome of spinning, razor-sharp chakra around him, repelling the twins away from him and cutting them slightly. After they get blown away from him, he throws an explosively-tagged kunai to the ground near Kabuto, and one at the ground near Mayuri. The tags detonate, catching them in the explosion.

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Byakugan is the kekkei genkai of the Hyuga clan. Bearers of this Dõjutsu have almost featureless white eyes. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge as the blood flow to their eyes is increased. While having the Byakugan deactivated, Hyuga ninjas have a normal eyesight and no special addition to their vision. While low rank Hyugas will need to perform a sequence of hand seals ( Horse → Tiger with lifting just index fingers → Boar with nearly straightened fingers → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar with nearly straightened fingers → Snake with the right index finger lifted straight up) to activate their Byakugan, Hyuga masters will be able to do so without the need for any hand seals and even have it active passively for long periods of time. Once activated, the user gains access to all of the abilities the Byakugan bestows upon them. While, like other Dojutsu, its main ability is to see chakra and the chakra flow in sentient beings, the Byakugan adds a complete new detail and dimension to that ability. The user can not only see chakra and the chakra flow, but also the circulatory system and even the 361 tenketsu. Added to this ability, once activated the Byakugan grants the user a near perfect field of vision 360º around himself (up to long-range if he's a master). This field of vision has only one blind spot, slightly above the 3rd thoracic vertebrae and facing backwards but enables the user to actually even see his own chakra circulatory system and chakra flow, which explains why all Hyuugas are so adept and masterfull of precise chakra control. The last ability the Byakugan has is the ability to zoom in and out, focusing on specific things, piercing beyond matter and energy alike, as well as chakra. This specific ability allows the user to see pass most barriers as well as physical matter (like rock walls, ground, etc) but also energy, being able to focus beyond chakra that might be in front of them or other energies. The zooming ability is enhanced as the user becomes more adept at using his eyes and can even reach distances above 20kms away. Some Hyugas have shown a great awareness regarding agressiveness as well as killing intent, detecting such intentions and emotions from others with more ease than most.
Note: Activation spends a move from the users own move count but once the user reaches Sannin Rank and has gained mastery over Gentle Fist for 1 month, he can activate it passively without spending a move. Because of its low chakra cost to maintain, the user can keep it active throughout the whole fight as long as he has chakra and stamina to do so.
Note: Genjutsu that requires Eye Contact when used against a Byakugan user requires direct eye contact between enemy pupil and user's pupil

As Mayuri and Kabuto came into close range with Neji, Kabuto noticed something

Kabuto: The Byakugan? Mayuri! Formation C

Mayuri and Kabuto jumped backwards and threw two kunai at Neji [which were probably deflected by Hakkeshou Kuuten] and two kunai at the kunai thrown by Neji. Mayuri and Kabuto then started to run towards each other and by the time they were standing side to side they decided to attack

Mayuri: Lets go

Mayuri channeled his Fuuton chakra into his mouth and released a strong gust of wind. At the very same time, Kabuto performed the Tiger hand seal and started to knead chakra in the back of his throat. He proceeded to apply nature transformation as he exhaled his breath. Immediately, a stream of fire emerges from Kabuto's mouth and soon, it forms a burning ring around him.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal by utilizing their fire chakra, the user will create a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target. It can also be used in combination with a suitable wind technique to release a massive inferno.

The Katon technique combined with the Fuuton technique created a massive inferno. Once this had been done, Mayuri channeled his Raiton chakra into his hands. By applying Shape and Nature transformation to it, he created a ball of electrical energy and launched it at Neji

Neji sees the massive inferno heading towards him. He uses chakra to substitute his body with a loose tile on the roof, avoiding the twins' attacks. The tile was about one metres to Kabuto and Mayuri's left. After he evades their attacks, Neji covers himself in electricity using lightning chakra and then runs at Kabuto. Neji slams his body into him, knocking him down and shocking him from the electricity. While Kabuto is incapacitated, Neji turns to Mayuri and performs a technique to block Mayuri's chakra gates and limit his chakra flow. Neji puts down all of his fingers on both of his hands except his index and middle fingers, which he uses to perform the technique. Beginning the technique, he blocks the first two gates with two jabs (one from each hand) in quick succesion into his opponents brain, blocking two gates and thus limiting the flow of chakra. Almost immediately after, Neji then proceeds to close the next two gates, using his fingers to send concentrated needle-like blasts of chakra into Mayuri's body, which reach to his spinal cord and reach attack the two gates and limit the flow of chakra even further. He then blocks the fifth gate with a quick strike into Mayuri's abdomen. Neji bends his knees so that he is at a lower position so he can attack the next two gates which are located near the stomach. Neji attacks both gates simultaneously with strike from both hands, then finishes with a powerful hit to the mayuri's 8th gate, located near the heart, which also causes damage to the opponent's heart. When the technique is finished, chakra flow in the Mayuri's body is stopped completely, leaving him unable to manipulate chakra and perform techniques. When Kabuto gets up from the floor, Neji takes three kunai knives out of his pouch and throws them at him.

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. The technique is a mix between high speed movement and the use of the transformation technique but has its limits.

The moment Neji starts running towards Kabuto to attack him, Kabuto smiled. As Neji was about to slam his body onto him, Kabuto quickly channeled his chakra Raiton chakra throughout his body and created an intense electric field. This happened very quickly and Kabuto caught Neji in a bear hug, preventing Neji from moving.

Since both Neji and Kabuto had used the same time, they both cancelled each other's techniques leaving Kabuto without the use of any technique holding Neji in the bear hug. Kabuto knew he would be in a disadvantage and thus Kabuto channeled his Raiton chakra throughout his body and released a wave of electricity that temporarily paralyzed Neji. At the exact same time while Kabuto was channeling his Raiton chakra throughout his body, Mayuri performed a single hand seal, channeled his Katon chakra to his mouth and released a bullet of fire that burned both Neji and Kabuto. Neji however was harmed more because it was Neji's back that was facing towards Mayuri

As soon as Kabuto grabs Neji and their techniques are cancelled out, Neji gathers chakra in his core and spreads it equally to every one of his tenketsu. After doing this, expels the chakra out of his tenketsu, blasting it outwards from everywhere on his body, blowing Kabuto away from him and stopping him from performing the lightning technique. The chakra blown out from his back stop the fireball heading towards his back (A-rank raw chakra>C rank elemental), but it also stops the three kunai that he threw at Mayuri. With Kabuto out of the way and Mayuri out in the open, Neji uses Doton chakra to create earth in his mouth. He adds shape transformation to turn it into a thick, sticky glob of mud. Neji spits the mud into Mayuri's face, blinding him and choking him (some goes in his mouth). After this is done, Neji jumps back and starts running at Mayuri at full speed. When Neji is close to Mayuri, he jumps into the air and when he lands, Neji jabs his chakra points repeatedly, filling them with chakra until they burst open.

Since Neji was running, this caused to fall backwards. The moment Neji started to fall backwards, a second pillar erupted from beneath Neji's head and broke his neck

Using his Byakugan, Neji sees the pillar of earth erupt from the ground, aiming to break his neck. Neji ues One blow body again to destroy it (also blowng away the kunai, which explode away from Neji). Neji then falls on his back but wakes up quickly. Neji channels Raiton chakra into his hand and launches it into the air. After this happens,a bolt of lightning strikes Mayuri at a fast speed, shocking him. Then Neji creates a clone out of lightning chakra that runs at Kabuto and throws an explosive-tagged kunai at him,while the real Neji does the same to the paralyzed Mayuri.

The moment everything gets pushed away by Neji's technique, Mayuri jumps into the air to attack Neji. As Neji causes a bolt of lightning to strike at him, Mayuri quickly blew out wind from his mouth that allowed him to quickly change direction in mid - air and dodge the lightning

Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

As Mayuri landed onto the ground, he countered the explosive kunai thrown by Neji by using explosive kunai of his own. At the very same time, when the lightning clone starts moving towards Kabuto, he quickly channeled his Doton chakra into the ground beneath him causing a pillar to erupt that launched Kabuto away from the clone and towards Mayuri. This also helped Kabuto dodge the kunai thrown by the clone
