Oph Brand



“Haha, it is I, the genius shinobi of the Brand Clan, Oph Brand! Be felled, villain!” came the cries of the man dressed in unassiming black garb, whom no one took seriously.

Forming the three handseals needed for the technique, but using his Sourceless Materialization Specialty, the Shinobi caused a dragon-like head to manifest from the ground infront of him, which churned the earth beneath it and fired a barrage of earthen blasts in the direction of the opponent.

Making a single handseal, though, the Shinobi quickly followed this by exhaling a steam of fire that ignited the earthen bullets, during them into globules of lava that burned brightly as they careened through the air, their immense heat setting ablaze everything in the vicinity of their landing.

Transitioning as he was exhaling a stream of fire, though, the Shinobi manipulates the steam after igniting the dragon constructs bullets to diverge and circle around, attempting to cut off escape routes from the dragons artillery with a wall of fire.

Ohhh me me I’ll be the villain!” Miyu said in a rather gleeful tone; completely unaware if her opponent actually thought she was one but who cares! She wanted to have some fun; Mirabelle always tried to keep her locked away at the village grounds but sometime she would sneak off and do her own thing considering well…she was her own person. However, her wandering around led her to enter a forest nearby and it seems to be somewhat unwelcoming when she sensed some pretty hostile feelings from someone. Her sense of taste was so acute she can determine many things about this individual. “Male, somewhat young…tastes like…cheap clothing” she said watching the man appear before and declared his clan name and calling her a villain. In glee, the Candy Maker was prepared for battle – as she sensed the man starting to knead a very delicate chakra nature. “Earth?” she said as her eyes widened – looking as the dragon head started to form from the ground. It started to fire it’s mud balls at Miyu to whom she laughed. “It spat at me haha! I can do that too!” she said as she channeled chakra into her throat and taste organs. Immediately she would exhale a stream of acidic saliva from her mouth that quickly clashed at the mud. She was a master of the Black Tongue Arts, so much so that she utilized her Toxire Paladar passive – allowing her saliva to play on neutral terms with the earth based technique as it was inherently stronger than it. Thus the mixture of acidic saliva and mud splattered on the ground between both combatants.

Afterwards the shinobi proceeded into wanting to breath out fire it seems. “Fire? Hmm…” she said out loud before he even did the technique. As it was released; she would simply weave her hand into the direction of the fire as she releases a quite potent jet of water. The two techniques would clash with one another; as the water snuffed out the flames but she retracted her hands as she didn’t want the water to continue. The steam that briefly covered the battle field would allow her to get a bit of cover as she tossed three kunai with explosive tags attached to them. One would land directly in front of the opponent, one flying slightly above his max height in case he decided to jump and the last one aimed to his right side. Once in close proximity – they would erupt violently. “Booom!” she said watching the explosives go off.

Description: Nectar is the most basic application of the Black Tongue Techniques. Because it’s intimately connected with the basic element Water, in behavior, weaknesses and strengths, the primary purpose of this technique is to describe and adapt Ganmi’s corrosive Saliva to any known Water Techniques that are or can be spat from the mouth. Through this technique, the user will activate the salivary glands and infuse them with chakra, spitting out any amount of saliva and then modelling it after a known spat Water Technique. The user pulls from the mouth, instead of the gut, but the saliva will follow everything else about the original water technique that is being adapted, including handseals and restrictions. While intimately related to water, a clansmen doesn’t necessarily require the water element to use this basic technique, though becomes severely restricted by the lack of it. For Ganmi lacking a water affinity or for those who do have it, this technique can be merely used a basic creation technique for the clan; ranging from forming the saliva into constructs, projectiles, tools to wield on hand like swords, kunai or even blast of saliva, that can take the form of a thin stream or a scattered splash and can only be used up to A rank. This is the active portion of the this technique, requiring the needed amount of chakra to manipulate the saliva, thus dealing damage based on the rank of the technique. The creation method of this technique is only limited to the user’s own imagination. Adapted defensive/supplementary techniques gain offensive properties due to the corrosive nature of the saliva if applicable and logical, dealing damage equivalent to its rank. Ganmi with Water affinity will need to post this technique alongside the desired water technique; it will not count as a move despite requiring more chakra than the water technique original requires. S rank version of active ability can only be thrice per battle and A can only be used 4 times, requiring a cool down of two turns before being able to be used again while leaving the user unable to use Black Tongue Arts above B rank in the same or next turn. B rank requires one hand seal, A rank requires 3 and S rank requires four.

Toxire Paladar - Specialized in Saliva Manipulation, it achieves a more powerful saliva. Once every three turns, it is able to ignore the weakness of the Saliva ( Earth ), becoming neutral to it. Along with that ability, their saliva's stench can be used to physically stun an opponent short range for the user's mouth ( less than 2 meters ), sickening them into submission, this counts as a jutsu and can only affect enemies 2 ranks lower than the user. They have access to the ultimate Saliva Manipulation Technique.

Oph watched as the woman effortlessly responded to his onslaught, the aftermath producing a thick, but momentary, steam cloud. Hearing a distinct thunk as a kunai landed at his feet and saw another coming through the mist to his side as it thinned, he created a large earthen slab in his hands, which he used to shield himself from the resulting explosion, the compressed dirt crumbling after absorbing the blow.

“Vile! I am a genius Shinobi of the Brand clan! I will not be outdone so simply, hoho!”

Again using his Sourceless materialization speciality and making a single handseal, he caused a large needle of earthen mud to manifest, aiming at the woman’s midsection with it, before making the same seal again.

The earth would churn up, Oph’s intention to set the woman off balance and provide difficultly in responding to his attack, while also altering the terrain by using the churning earth to fell several of the trees in the forest area around her.

Regardless of this; he attempted to cause harm to her and thus she cant allow such a thing to happen of course. Immediately in turn; Miyu quickly watched the opponent create their needle of earth but to be quite frank she wasn’t worried in the slightest. She immediately charged her body with chakra, allowing her to enhance her mobility as she ascends into the air into a forward front flip. This allowed her to easily scale over the earthen structures – but also rush towards the opponent. Within Oph’s mind, Miyu would appear normal at first, but within midair – her body stopped in motion, as from her back; she emerged once more having evolved into a majestic harpie. With feathers of gold, green and red pattern she continues into her frontal flip as her body stopped once more as she struck the ground now bursting from the harpie into that of an embodiment of flames, Miyu turning into a crimson elemental. She rushed over; the intense flames burning brighter than the very surface of the sun – as she finally reached closer. In reality, Miyu performed all these motions – using her physical body as a guide for her avatars to mimic.

However once she was close enough; she would rush after Oph once in close range of him. She took a deep breath; once she was close enough she would attain a posture inherent to the Lazy Fist Style as she concentrated her weight into her left leg; as she placed her knuckles facing inward. She aimed to strike Oph, striking him with two fist jabs to the torso and his face. Upon the first impact would lock him into a wake illusion; causing both strikes to feel as though the areas of impact was violently punctured with intense, burning needle like strikes. She would then finish with a simple kick to the face to finish the combination off as she flexed her muscles back allowing her to take the traditional Lazy Fist stance. “Come brave warrior of the Brand Clan!” she taunted him, a genuine smile on her face as she was prepared for more combat.

The basic stance of Lazy Fist were the user takes a deep breathe and relaxes his muscles and articulations, acquiring a lose, light stance, concentrating his weight on his right leg (or left) and having his left leg (or right) slightly bent and retracted. His arms close to his torso, flexed and with his knuckles facing inwards (middle fingers slightly protruding). By assuming this stance the user immediately becomes slightly faster, more agile and flexible. This basic stance enables the user to throw up to 2 hits (fist jabs or kicks) in quick succession. "Of course! I specialize in everything I do!" boasted the Shinobi, as he watched her seemingly molt into a variety of incredibly bizarre creatures, as she avoided his onslaught of techniques with minimal effort. Unfortunately, while the technique was impressive, the shinobi didn't understand well enough what was happening with the ability to see it beyond its face value, and mostly saw it as a way to try and distract him.

When the woman came rushing up at him, though, the shinobi responded in kind with two of his own blows, aiming to intercept her strikes, matching the force of her blows with his own, the collision of each leaving his arms numb momentarily with the shock, as if the woman's blows seemed more powerful than they truly were.

Ohhh not bad, not bad at all! Let’s try something a little more…difficult!” Miyu said as she watched the academy ninja fend off her strikes; though in reality she was merely playing a little game with them. Now was the more intricate time to mess with him. Immediately after the blows where exchanged – Miyu would spring into action once more after his little deflection of her own blows. Swiftly; she would clap her hands together as an array of colored feathers was spawned from her being as she jumped back three meters. A flock of beautiful macaws of various colors and sizes rushed after the opponent. The surrounded him quite fast, as they spiral around him, as one by one each one would start to violent peck at him with their beaks. The sharp talons would also shred and tear away at his flesh, ripping the rather cheap clothing off his body as well. Miyu whom was using them as a distraction would proceed into her next motive.

She would increase her weight for a mere instance by x5; causing the ground to crack under the sudden weight change, but immediately as she did – the energy returning from the ground she stored it into her right leg. Miyu would then rush after the opponent; in which once she was in range properly; the parrots would disperse; as she came in with an extended leg out. Her right leg would deal a powerful blow into the stomach of the man, sending him fly after impact was made as she released the energy afterwards from the impact of the blow. “Tough move aint it?” she question with a cheery tone as she shadow boxed in place for moment after such an exciting display of talent.

Description: Multiple parrots from a multitude of colours, shapes and sizes burst out of the users’s body, hitting a opponents with a barrage of beak slams and claw scratches, and provide a great distraction for the user to flee or attack, amidst the flying birds. The technique works similarly to the Murder of Crows Confusion. The amount of birds that appear depend on the chakra the user puts into the technique, when no longer needed, the parrots disperse. In parties, the user can make the parrots dance Samba.

Let’s try something a little more…difficult!” Miyu said as she watched the academy ninja fend off her strikes; though in reality she was merely playing a little game with them. Now was the more intricate time to mess with him. Immediately after the blows where exchanged – Miyu would spring into action once more after his little deflection of her own blows. Swiftly; she would clap her hands together as an array of colored feathers was spawned from her being as she jumped back three meters. A flock of beautiful macaws of various colors and sizes rushed after the opponent. The surrounded him quite fast, as they spiral around him, as one by one each one would start to violent peck at him with their beaks. The sharp talons would also shred and tear away at his flesh, ripping the rather cheap clothing off his body as well. Miyu whom was using them as a distraction would proceed into her next motive.

She would increase her weight for a mere instance by x5; causing the ground to crack under the sudden weight change, but immediately as she did – the energy returning from the ground she stored it into her right leg. Miyu would then rush after the opponent; in which once she was in range properly; the parrots would disperse; as she came in with an extended leg out. Her right leg would deal a powerful blow into the stomach of the man, sending him fly after impact was made as she released the energy afterwards from the impact of the blow. “Tough move aint it?” she question with a cheery tone as she shadow boxed in place for moment after such an exciting display of talent.

The technique works similarly to the Murder of Crows Confusion. The amount of birds that appear depend on the chakra the user puts into the technique, when no longer needed, the parrots disperse. In parties, the user can make the parrots dance Samba.

As the woman seemed to molt into a multitude of multicolored feathers, a flock of fowl formed and flew forward. Forming a single handseal, using his elemental specialty, the Shinobi exhaled a massive ball of fire as he crouched low to the ground, roasting the ravenous wretches, before they could do much more than begin to peck at him.

When the woman - the ground cracking suddenly under her weight? - leapt forward, the Shinobi moved once again to respond, calling again upon the powers of fire to augment his assault.

He could step to his side, using Defensive Crane to avoid the woman’s kick by diverting her path. In the same time as he did so, as he would simply push aside her suddenly much more robust leg, flames would snake down his arms, aiming to sear the woman as he deflected her.

“Maybe lay off the fried chicken?” he quipped.

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

(Shubi Kurēn) Defensive Crane

Description: A very advanced and complex defensive form, the Defensive Crane allows the user to divert the path of incoming attacks with the back of his hands, using circular and wide movements that expand outwards. He can intercept weapons or incoming taijutsu attacks. The technique is best used when facing an opposing Taijutsu move by diverting the incoming limb to one side and combo the defensive stance with an attack, exploiting the opening created.

As she completely rotated, she placed her foot back on the ground as she stomped and shoulder charged the opponent in the stomach and performed an array of punches and kicks. This would end with a double opponent palm strike to the stomach as she sent him flying to his butt. The pain should be enough to free him from the illusion but make no mistake, she was prepared to continue if the opponent didn’t decide to back down. “Don’t worry; I’ll heal ya right up…after these hands get tired!” she said picking up one of the roasted parrots and eating it. “Mmm…tastes like chicken! Wanna try it!?” she asked, extending the roasted meat.

Despite his attempts to gain the upper hand against the woman, the Shinobi had been outmaneuvered, and was placed into a Genjutsu before the following blow connected with him, freeing him from the illusion, but not before sending him flying, the man laying flat on the ground.

“How could I be so foolish to get caught in such a trick!?” he exclaimed, as he brought his hand to his face in exasperation...a bit too forcefully, as the toll of the battle previously resulted in the Shinobi knocking himself out, not hearing the words of the woman.

Description: "Dear Lord, I can't stand it anymore!" There are so many absurdities and absolutely preposterous happenings in the Ninja World every day and all the frustration and sighing must go somewhere. Thus, as a result, the user of this jutsu slaps his forehead with one hand (probably with dominant for more effect), resulting in something like a "wake-up" call. The quick, yet effective pain will allow much of the grievances to go away as blood would rush quickly to the affected area and the user would be forced to focus upon it, forgetting all of his worries for just a slight moment. Of course, this can happen in a fraction of a second, or a long facepalm can do as well. And on a more battle-related note, most fights cause much anxiety and stress because we often struggle for our lives on a daily basis, so this would help relieve such psychological impacts and clear the user's mind in combat in order to make improved rational decisions.
