LoK's R&R.
Official.
Terrain: Underground fighting arena, 50m diameter. 20m tall walls made from stone, with spectator seats surrounding the arena on all sides. Heavily reinforced, to prevent collapse, and ensure safety of spectators.
Range: 10m apart at the center of the arena.
Jutsu: No Restrictions, provided they follow the Battle Type.
Battle Type: Close-Quarters spar.
Both parties can perform any of their techniques at their own discretion, provided it either involves Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, etc, improves the aforementioned skills in some manner, etc. This isn't as hard-limit that you must follow to the letter, and creative freedom is welcomed, but following it without pushing too far would be appreciated. To give a clear example, as I am using my Uchiha bio for this fight, I could utilize the heightened perception the Sharingan allows to follow incoming movements, and even copy them if possible, but utilizing a Genjutsu via the Sharingan would be an instant violation, as, despite the Sharingan having inherently close-quarters related abilities, Genjutsu is not one of them, and violates the intention and "spirit" behind the type of battle I'd like to have. And while that example is rather specific, and might make you think this is going to be serious from the get-go, I want this to be a more relaxed kind of fight, at least at first. Never been a fan of going all out right off the bat personally, so I hope that's also okay, on top of everything else.
Biography: Shayde Uchiha, link in my signature.
Time Limit: None, if that's okay. If not, 7 days limit.
I'll make a short introduction to get started, and you can have the first move, if you wish.
A roar from an excited crowd as the first participant entered from one of the large entrances off to either side of the arena. When the aloof Uchiha heard rumors of "underground" fighting, this isn't exactly what he was expecting... This was more like a damn full-on martial arts tournament than a seedy pit he was expecting to fight in. Still, if the promise of coin and worthy opponents was true, then momentary stage-fright was a small price to pay. Entering to outstanding applause from the thousands of spectators, all of which he had been lead to believe were betting high stakes on each fight that took place within this illegal fight club. If only he himself wasn't broke, he could have made a pretty tidy profit, but what scraps the venue's hosts were throwing his way would have to do. As a commentator screamed nonsensical bullshit through a microphone about Shayde, each dulcet tone reverberating off the walls, assaulting his sense of hearing, he couldn't help but cringe as he was given the moniker of "Crimson Demon" on the spot, no doubt because of his singular red eye. This was entirely too cheesy for his liking, and felt like he'd be better off just walking back out the way he came, as the theatricality was beginning to irk him. Peering back, he noticed that the entrance had closed behind him, a massive stone slab barring exit. Was this a "Two will enter, one will leave" situation? That wasn't mentioned as he registered... Perhaps they just had cold footed fighters before, and this was a precaution against that? Would suck if you were betting thousands of Kumi on a match, only to have your fighter forfeit before it even started. Listening to the narrator wail on through the loud speakers located throughout the arena, Shayde wished for nothing more than her to shut up, and thankfully that wish was granted mere moments later, as the lights dimmed. The other entrance began to open slowly, in fact almost painfully so, before the announcer started up once more, introducing Shayde's opponent. Watching the door slowly rise, beginning to reveal a silhouette of his opponent, Shayde couldn't help but anticipate what kind of style they used, taking the time to perform some minor stretches.
"Well, shit... If they're even half as strong as that announcer is loud, I might have my work cut out for me."
