Rei's Rules and Regulations...yada yada yada.

I need a good freeform sword fight to cure my boredom for a little bit. If anyone's feeling game, I'll be using . The fight will take place in the main room of a training dojo. Just for reference:

Sure, why not.

Ryū sits on the floor in a meditative position, his Dragon Sword laying horizontally in his lap. His eyes snap open, and he stands up, holding his sword in his right hand. He turns around to face his potential opponent.

Bowing respectfully beforehand, Neji soon gets into his regular Kenjutsu stance; His torso is leaning forward a little bit, his katana is being held with both hands with the blade slightly dipped, his left leg is behind him [the knee is bent], and his dominant right leg is in front [it is straight, kind of going diagonal]. "After you..."

Taking the ninja's cue, Ryū runs forward with his right arm out stretched from his body, his right hand holding the sword tightly. Entering short range of his opponent, he places his left hand on the sword and swings at the man's sword, intending to knock it out of the way to create an opening. The swords clash, with Ryū's Dragon Sword knocking the opponent's out of the way. At the end of the swing, Ryū's sword would be next to his left hip and facing diagonally downward, away from the opponent. Due to only using enough strength to knock the sword out of the way, even if the opponent was attempting to resist Ryū's attack, Ryū would be able to seamlessly flow into another attack. Then, his left hand lets go of the sword and his right hand switches into a reverse grip, so that the blade would be pointing away from his thumb. His left hand does not wonder far from the sword, instead placing itself on the pommel of the Dragon Sword. Then, Ryū thrusts his sword through the man's stomach, where it would emerge from his upper back, due to Ryū almost being in a crouch, his legs being bent slightly.

As Neji watches Ryū run towards him hastily, all he does is stand there and wait. When his opponent would try to clash with his upright katana in a downward, diagonal right-to-left motion, Neji first tightens his grip. As Ryū's blade would attempt to intercept his, Neji simply takes a step back to dodge the slash, before swiftly dipping his sword in a "u" shaped manner [so that my blade would move under yours]. Right when this happens, Neji - who knows that the momentum of Ryū's heavy swing would require him to follow through with the diagonal motion - raises his katana a bit, before making a downward slash onto the top of Ryū's blade; forcing the top portion to strike the ground.

With his opponent's blade forced onto the ground, Neji immediately leaps 11 inches off the ground & lands on top of Ryū's sword with his left foot; which temporarily renders him to move it due to Neji's weight. Right as this happens, Neji removes his right hand from his katana, and with his left hand, Neji quickly slices downward towards Ryū's hands [which would be holding the sword]. If Ryū would not let go, both hands would surely come off.

While Ryū is crouching on the ground, his Dragon Sword trapped under the foot of his opponent, he watches as the man's sword arcs towards his hands. Lifting his right off the ground and pushing off the ground with his left, Ryū jumps to the left [since Neji is to his right because of body position] and lets go of his sword. From this point on, Ryū would need to be careful about retrieving his sword. Ryū stands up straight, and beckons his opponent to come to him.

As Ryū lets go to evade his slice, Neji gives a slight smirk before replacing it with a emotionless face expression. Using his left foot, which is still on the blade, he flicks Ryū's blade over [so that the flat side is facing up towards the sky], before kicking the sword upwards with his right foot. As Ryū's sword spins upwards into the air, Neji extends out his right hand & catches it by it's hilt. "Hmph.."

As Neji would take possession of his adversary's sword, he simply tosses it into the air in his general direction [expecting him to catch it]. When it would enter Ryū's hand, Neji leaps back a few feet, before taunting his opponent to step forth.

Ryū eyes his opponent carefully as he takes his Dragon Sword. If he was to fight an opponent with his bare hands while his enemy was in possession of two weapons, this would be difficult, but Ryū had confidence in his ability. However, his train of thought was stopped by his sword flipping through the air towards him. His right arm shoots through the air to catch his Dragon Sword by the handle.

"I was under the assumption that you wanted to disarm me, but if this is what you want, then there will be no objections from me."

Gripping his sword with both hands, he gets into a battle stance and calms himself. After a few moments, he feels a state of complete nothingness, a feeling of relaxation. His limbs feel loose, and his mind clear. With that, he charges the opponent. Ryū, still holding his sword in both hands with his arms maintaining the same position as they did when he was standing still in battle stance earlier, slices at the opponent from his left shoulder to right hip in a perfectly straight line.

Battle stance looks like this:

Watching Ryū run towards him, Neji waits patiently like before and grips his sword with his left hand. "Heh, déjà vu.." As soon as his opponent slices diagonally, Neji twists his torso slightly, but quickly to the left & uses the momentum of this motion to swing his blade heavily & upwards towards Ryū's and results in them clashing swords [With your blade on top & mine on bottom].

When this would happen, Neji notices that his opponent has left his lower-midsection vulnerable; and since both of Ryū's hands are grasping his sword, he uses this to his advantage. Momentarily, Neji slights pivots his whole body to the left again, before extending his free right hand forward and rams it into Ryū's gut; possibly knocking the wind out of him (unless he blocks it of course). Right after he would punch his opponent in the gut, Neji - who's still clashing with Ryū, probably - draws back his hand and kicks Ryū on the side of his knee; giving him a charley horse (or a painful leg cramp).

Neji waits to see how he responds to his attack.

Their swords clash, and the two men find themselves locked in a lethal embrace. Ryū looks the man in the eyes, waiting for any possible moves he might make. Then, he notices his opponent shift his body slightly. His mind snapping to the possibility of the movement being a threat, Ryū instinctively leans on his right foot and loosens the tension on his left foot, and sees his opponent form a fist that would be used for obvious purposes. Taking off on his right foot, Ryū launches himself into a somersault, also using the locked swords as a way of increasing the height and spin of his somersault. As he flies into the air, and finishes the rotation, he lands on the man's shoulders. Immediately, he goes into another frontflip, but jumping off his opponent's shoulders instead. The force of the takeoff would send the man at least a few steps forward, while Ryū flips through the air and lands comfortably behind his opponent. Landing cleanly on the wooden floor of the dojo, Ryū turns to face his enemy and resumes his previous battle stance.
