As the masked man entered to dojo in response to his challenge, Kotetsu bowed as a sign of respect, a gesture that he would most likely repeat only once more; when he had taken the man's life. With the formalities out of the way, he began the fight by dashing straight for the masked man, arms rigidly by his side. The imposing Inuzuka quickly closed the gap between two, raising his left fist as if preparing to punch his black-haired foe. Instead of a punch, however, Kotetsu's first move sees him sliding his left leg both back and outwards in a quick circular motion, simultaneously widening and lowering his stance in a blindingly fast and fluid motion.
At the same time he leans forwards, using his wide stance to push his upper body forward in a whip-like motion that lends significant power to the right handed, chakra enhanced open palm uppercut he attempts to deliver to his opponent's chin. The attack is disguised by his still raised left hand that serves as an effective feint, and the distance between Kotetsu and Obito was such that, should the attack connect, Kotetsu's arm would be fully extended.

Obito casually strolled into the martial art temple sporting his Akatsuki cloak: black with red clouds pattern, which was fluttering at every step as he entered the large room. He came to a halt and firmly stood fixed on the man who owns the dojo, named Kotetsu. He remained silent all along, feeling him out. He bowed with his feet together, returning the gesture, although, bending slightly at the waist to keep eyes on Kotetsu, and then unbend. In moments, Kotetsu broke the tension that lingers in the atmosphere between the two.
As Kotetsu hastily charged, Obito waited calmly while motioning into a neutral stance. He wanted a balanced form of both attack and defense to combat the erratic behavior shown from Kotetsu, who plunged forward moving to perform a deceptive, yet powerful open right uppercut with the palm. His cold eye - focus through the orange, spiral-patterned mask - followed the body movements intently, despite the fact that, the swaying of Kotetsu's body was very hard to track as he got close. Nevertheless, humans behavior of that magnitude was still predictable. As Kotetsu was ready to strike, he plainly drew back his left leg and lean back, causing the right uppercut to miss and swing into the open air. At the same time, he extend his arms forward and firmly gripped Kotetsu's shirt and fall backward with his weight, pushing his right legs into Kotetsu's body, and then begin to extend it at the correct moment while propelling him backward, upside down across the room.
