Tenzo was scouting the streets of Kusagakure, when he came across a shinobi with an Ame headband. What's an Ame nin doing here?
Needlessly, to say, he observed the man, and he was very tall with a black aura running down his body, it seemed like burnt paper, and black cloth was covering his face. Weird, he thought. Observing the distance between his opponent and him, he formulated a plan.

Absolutely wasting no time, as he came to a halt, he performed a single handseal, after which he emitted his chakra into Kaname's brain, disrupting his brainwaves, making his opponent think that he was trapped in a world of infinite darkness. Completely shrouded by despair by all sides. He could see nothing.

( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

As he was engulfed in complete darkness, unable to see what was going on, Tenzo gathered Mokuton chakra and spatially recomposed it to emit branches from his body as thick as tree trunks, which travelled toward Kaname and encircled him, thereby crushing his bones in a such way that he writhed in immense pain and was shouting out loud.

As he was crushed, and was crying in immense pain, he gathered Fire chakra and spatially recomposed it inside his lungs to breathe out a massive fireball, and as it neared him, the fireball rapidly expanded and burst out into a super massive maelstrom that turned him into ashes.

Kaname after noticing the enemy he was sent to defeat began to wonder, why was he sent to kill this man? maybe this fight would show why he was sent after thinking about this for a few seconds he noticed he immediatly began surrounded in darkness and thought that this possibly wasn't an elemental jutsu and the thought of a genjutsu came to his mind and he immediatly forms a hand sign releasing a Kai while doing so giving him back his sight.

After breaking the genjutsu he immediatly noticed that he was being surrounded by wood and that the wood was suddenly constricting his movement he was first surprised that he had found the man who could use the first hokage's cells but couldn't be surprised right now he knew that if he didn't do something quickly he would be crushed to death and immediatly substitutes himself with a log and re-appears on a nearby tree.

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

Tenzo notices as the man becomes self-aware of the Wood surrounding him, noticing the movements of his head, indicating that he had somehow put himself out the Genjutsu. In a moment, a poof sound was heard as all that remained was a piece of log that fell down, as he quickly saw the man standing on the tree.

Immediately, he gathered Suiton chakra in his body and spatially recomposed his chakra to form a compressed wave of water which he spit from his mouth. The compressed wave of water, extended in horizontal range as it traveled forward and pushed back Kaname, inflicting damage on his body due to the Water wave being compressed. He was pushed away from the tree, as he landed on the ground with a loud thud, hurting his back in the process.
