Edward Elric arrives at the battlefield with his trademark a bright red, long-sleeved, hooded cloak and two white gloves on both of his hands hiding the special ability which he has on his palms. Calmly, he waits for a random person to pass through the battlefield. While waiting, Ed grabs his right shoulder using his left hand and spins it around for warm up with a small smirk on his face.

 

[Flash]

Zetsu emerges from the ground from behind Edward (mid range) and throws a kunai at his head.

When Edward was merely standing, he could hear a very low noise created in the wind from the back. Being alert, Ed grabs his kunai and turns back to see a kunai appearing, immediately, Ed throws the kunai towards the other one canceling it. Then he saw a weird man half underground.

"Who might you be?."

 

[Flash]

My name? Or his? Anyways, what difference will that make to you when you're dead? White Zetsu replies in an eccentric tone

"What the hell do you mean?."

Saying that, Edward focuses his earth chakra beneath the opponent and manipulates the earth in such a way that spikes appear out of it and protrude through the opponent's feet making him entirely immobile.

As the ground starts vibrating, Zetsu forms a handseal causing his skin to turn to steel like quality, and thus making the erupting spikes to be destroyed, as they touch his skin.

Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

Saying that, Ed throws a kunai towards Zetsu aiming at the head.

As the kunai heads towards Zetsu, he swings his blade to release a slicing wind that would not only knock out the kunai, but also do damage to the opponent.

Seeing the wind heading towards himself, Edward performs the Rat hand seal while focusing his wind chakra into the air right before him and then utilizes it to create 5 large tornadoes which destroy the mere wind blast and continue towards Zetsu as a high speed. Immediately after releasing the tornadoes, Edward focuses his earth chakra beneath the opponent making stone spikes rise in the air aiming to pierce through Zetsu and quickly performs the Dog hand seal and sends his water chakra into the atmosphere and manipulates the clouds to make it rain heavily. When near the opponent, the rain would form into a huge wave which would wash away the opponent with many bruises from the previous two attacks while his chakra would continue draining at a high speed. (Edward still has maintained the Dog hand seal.)

Description: The user will first perform the Dog hand seal and release his chakra into the atmosphere which will then create an accumulation of large storm clouds in the sky, which in turn produces rain. The large amount of rain falling all around can then be turned into a large wave of water which sweeps the enemy off their feet while wrapping around him and binding him in the flow of water around him. While the targets are trapped in the water, their chakra will slowly be drained away. The water vortex can be sustained and controlled for up to two turns as long as the user keeps the dog hand seal made.
