1. your clone wouldnt be short range from konan as she is flying higher that the gates.thats at least mid range from the ground.
2.hidan was closer to the surface than the clone so comes out first. as soon as the clone is throwing his kunai(almost out of the ground by that time or just out) Hidan swings his scythe extended by its cable from right to left,piercing the clone through its ribs and turning it into water instead of doing the combo with konan.
This ruins the move on Konan by your clone and all this while she keeps her eyes on you. as your clam releases the mist, konan observes and immediately notices where you appear.
Hidan looks at konan for a sign for an attack sees her pointing at the place where you(mirage) are while making a paper clone with enough explosive tags to blast short range around where you are.(it only makes sense you would make the clone short range from you)
as she completes making the clone and sends it to where you are at high speed, hidan also slams his palm on the ground causing the ground where you are to spiral inwards taking you and your clam to your doom.(He makes this move cover a large area just to be sure) so the real you would be affected.
The current of the earth flowing into this 'drain' should be enough to knock you off balance as konans clone slams somewhere near you.
then in order for her to observe stealthily she disperses into hundreds of paper butterflies and flying separate ways.
