So I was wondering what the consensus would be on this scenario.

Ope Ope no mi wielder uses the immortal technique or whatever you want to call it
in the MS translations it still says eternal life

My question is what do you think happens if they use it on themself? Which one is over-rid, the technique or the side effect?


Side question if used on a second person(not self) do you think that person can be killed still but just doesn't die of old age or do you think their is literally no way they could die?

I know the user will die but I meant the person it's used on, do you think they can still be shot/stabbed to death or do they as it says have eternal life.

They can die if they are killed like any regular person

Kairoseki does the same thing as the sea, and that's rob the user of control over their Devil Fruit. Permanent changes to the user's body, such as being made of rubber, will still be in affect. We've seen Luffy's body still be made of rubber when in contact with Kairoseki or water. Immortality would be included. The only thing that neutralizes a Devil Fruit power completely is the Yami Yami no Mi.

He probably could. Ope Ope no Mi's cutting doesn't hurt or break the flesh, or cause bleeding. It's perfect for self-surgery. Use Scan on yourself to detect where the organs and things to be removed are, plus Law's medical and anatomical knowledge that he already has. Takt and Shambles to move things around, and Mes to cut out anything he needs gone. It could work if he stands in front of a big-ass mirror. Then when you're done, just put everything back together.
