So I think we can all safely agree that the new opening theme is fantastic and exactly the kick the anime needs after this year of awkward war nothingness and bad animation- some reminder as to why we love Naruto so much. I mean, it is by far my favourite opening theme ever.
But one question that's just going to bug me. I get the Madara/turret imagery but
What are the animals and what are their relation to the Kage?
I mean- Raikage is a bear and Mei is a whale- I get that imagery but what are Gaara and Sasuke's animals? And also did Tsuchikage even have an animal? Is this the whole spirit animal vibe they were going for or is it some Japanese folklore theme that I don't get. I'd REALLY like to know.
