Some people say that Kakashi only warped Hachibi's tentacle, but i believe that it's a misconception. This is what really happened

He did warped Hachibi in the other dimension but in the process, one of Hachibi's limb got cut because Kakashi missed that.

If you look closely you will see that it was hachibi's horn that you see on that pic(it's similar to the one we see on the left of the picture), not his tentacule, which looks more like this:

You can even notice that Hachibi's limb is cut on this pic. The other part of Hachibi's limb that got cut is the one we see here, what happened during the process when Kakashi warped Hachibi in the kamui's dimension to save him from Juubi's TBB and prepare their counter attack

And it's the reason why Kakashi says "sorry", because he cut Hachibi's limb in the process without wanting it
