Gaara and onoki,gaara controls the ground,onoki jintons from the air,both can be long ranged,both have good defences and offences. Yup best duo.

Just imagine poison mist whereas you can't breath and acid mist in which additional unavoidable offense is added
And on top of that iron sand, 100 puppets and Mei's lava and other ninjutsu to defend...

It will be just a matter of time for the enemy to breath the poison gas or melt from the acid mist

I'm inclined to agree, actually. In addition to the original point you were making, Gaara can instantly shield more-or-less ANY attack, negating one of Jinton's VERY few weaknesses: The delay before casting. Making the dou capable of taking out pretty much anyone really quickly.
