[Discussion] Onooki's ability to make everyone fly by touch could be very effective

Hello guys, I would like to talk about Onooki's ability to make other people able to fly after touching their bodies.

We know that Obito can fly as well, as proven a lot of time. I will use just example from the lastest chapter:

I think that it would be very helpfull..., especially for Naruto and Sasuke who are fighting against Obito. Edo Kages could be much more effective as well.

Basically the ability to fly could make Entire Alliance Shinobi or just only significant characters able to harm bud bloomsing into flower of the God tree. The God tree couldn't suck chakra from them as they would be beyond the God Tree's range but at the same time The Alliance could harm Flower before it fully blooms.

I know that Gaara can make people float in the air as well with his sand... but actually Onooki's ability to make people fly could make people able to dodge freely in the air with unrestricted movements in opposite to floating on the sand platform.

It could make the Five Kages very effective as well..., just imagine all of them flying and chariging at the God Tree... epic and awesome.

I think it's only beneficial if the person has experience of flying before, so that they can control it. Ohnoki's right hand guards both made it seem like they've flown before. Notice that Ohnoki carried Ei during the fight with Madara rather than giving him the ability himself. I don't think we'll see it benefit the SA anytime soon.

Well, good point. You are most likely right and it could explain why Onooki carried Ei during the fight with Madara as you wrote. However with Naruto and Sasuke, everything is possible so I wouldn't be surprised if Naruto and Sasuke adjusted their bodies and controled flight ability beforehand or even Kishi makes Naruto and Sasuke somehow absorb this flying ability so Both: Naruto and Sasuke will be able to fly without Onooki help in future...

It just depends from Kishi's mind if he want use this ability and make Naruto and Sasuke fly in the future or not.

True... they that why I gave some possible choices for this ability to be used. I mean it could make everyone fly or just only key characters. Of course it could benefit Naruto and Sasuke against Obito in fight, also it could make Edo Hokages and Current Five Kages much more effective against The God Tree, so they could harm it, while it can't reach them and absorb their chakra.

However you are most likley right: "Once fodder, always fodder". Simple if they couldn't even harm their enemies before, then another hax ability won't be enough, but for these who could harm the enemis then another hax ability could only make them more effective or give them new way to defeat enemies

I dont understand why being able to fly would be an advantage against Obito or Madara at this point. What would attacking from the air do when people cant even appear instantly and land a hit.

Hmmm... I wonder if Oonoki's ability would be effective taking in account that only shinobi who previously made use of the ability can use it at a better extent, as Akatsuchi stated (he mentioned the word "again").

The alliance would only be able to make a lesser use of this ability, with a poor performance (as shown when the alliance made the earth walls... they were very weak since they didn't have mastery over the ability).

Well my question is, If he could why didnt he when the 5 fought Madara? also Whywould they be flying to the battlefield on Garra's sand instead of tsuchi's ability? I'm just not sure... Although... He should use his jinton against the base of the tree and chop it down!

Maybe they use Gaara's sand because it takes less chakra than making people fly with jinton?
